    Hi

Apologies in advance if this has already been discussed, but looking for advice on a route from Mizen to Malin on predominately quiet roads (avoiding N roads and busy roads). Realise this will add to the distance but willing to take the hit.

Anyone done something similar or know of any neat tools which will allow devising routes based on traffic etc??

    Thanks

That's pretty quite in general, with an effort to avoid N20, A5 and main roads in general.

You could make coming out of west Cork way nicer, but it would involve a lot of climbing,

    Thanks for this ford2600.

Just one question, how did you find the N roads? I would most likely be cycling solo.

    Thanks

We didn't ride any N roads. I've very fond of back roads and hate traffic and found this route OK.

A quiter route out of Cork isnt hard to map but it'll involve more climbing. Send me a pm if you want that; I'd be happy enough giving you a route to Athlone. I'd be patchy on roads after that but could still improve my old route I think.

300km solo you'll need to be on top of navigation, maintenance, refuel stops outside normal hours, etc.

Cycyletravel route would be lovely but probably slower

Best of luck with it. I always intended to do a solo non stop but can't see it happening anytime soon
