Hi John,

I (eventually) got the AKG headphones returned due to the recall and have received a refund. They are not offering any vouchers or discounts towards a replacement set as the voucher is UK only and ONLY through the Harman Kardon website. After almost a month of chasing them for the return details and assistance I have no interest in getting another pair from AKG.

I am interested in Noise cancelling headphones and a friend of mine recommended the SONY WH1000XM2 models. I usually prefer the Over ear type anyway so these seem to fit the bill.

Can you give me a price on this model and your recommendations on similar? I LOVED the audio on the AKG, but will not risk the possibility of having to deal with their customer services again.

    Regards,

    Hey Ryanno.

Sorry to hear that AKG were not the best to deal with directly.

I have not listened to the Sony's myself but they seem get a good reception online. They are currently priced at £299.00

You could also perhaps have a look at the Sennheiser PXC550 also retailing at £299

Or maybe even the Sennheiser M2 AEBT priced at £279.00

Let me know what you think.
