Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

More Reactions Than Just 'Thanks'

One of the other forums I visit uses the Invision software which has a nice handful of different ways a user can react to a post instead of just "thanks". You can see it illustrated here.

Since they released that update, I feel there is a lot more personality added to the reactions instead of just a generic 'thanks'.

Also, if someone posts some heart breaking story of personal hardship, it feels better to react with sadness rather than thanks. Likewise with funny posts. I know Facebook made a similar change in recent years but I don't use FB.

I'm not sure how much of a change that would require to your existing software, or how popular it would be, but it is just a thought based on my experience with that other forum.

    Hi SimonTemplar,

Thanks for your suggestion. I've moved it over to Site Development as it's a suggestion related to development. There wasn't much said one way or the other the last time this came up, but it's been added to a list of suggestions that we can mull over and discuss. Thanks!

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
