The BBC don't half over sensationalise everything. I appreciate they've got to promote their sport but c'mon.

What a red to give himself an opportunity !

Mark is some player in terms of being able to clear his mind. His long single ball potting gets him in first again and again. Hope he makes it count this time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,599 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

85 is best final ever for me.

It had everything. One of the greatest sporting moments.

This is great stuff but BBC are just hyping it up imho

I'm so nervous watching I can barely hold the phone to type, no idea how these two are staying so composed.

Semi-final in 82, for me - 85 was astounding indeed

    Sheer fcuking balls.

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

The BBC coverage is great. It's nice to see what the families are going through as well. Complainers will complain.

Dissapointed I missed most of this evenings play, but if it was anything like yesterday, and this afternoon, its been a great old school final.

Wonder will Mark celebrate with a cheeky kebab now.

Truly amazing to think he didn't even qualify for this event last year and was on verge of quitting.

Come on Ken knuckle down and give it a real go!!

    John's gutted (understandably)

Are there no younger lads coming through at all?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,307 ✭✭✭tanko

Fair play to Williams, some bottle to withstand that Higgins comeback.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,521 ✭✭✭AllForIt

So impressed the way Williams recovered after missing that pink for the title.

Magnificent final, breathtaking passages of play and so many twists and turns. Puts a gloss on what was truthfully a mixed enough tournament. Bit like an all Ireland hurling championship- a slow burner through the early stages with a turbo finish.

Great Williams won. Class dogged snooker all way through.

So is he getting starkers so?.

Will he get the lad out?.
