Yep. Seen the man closest to him eating wine gums and asked him for a few.

Laid back dude. Imagine playing for that kinda money and asking spectator for few sweets.

    Character to say the least!.

Williams is playing a role here, I think, the old saying of playing like it means nothing when it means everything. It’s very smart. Bingham was a bit the same when he won it, smiled his way through it, let others lose their heads.

I dont know he always comes across like that. Hard to see a lad like him putting on an act.

Anyway its not like Higgins is foolish and will think ah your man is only here for the laugh.

He knows behind that laid back lanky demeanour there is a ruthless dogged intelligent snooker player.

Higgins knows this is far from in the bag.

See Ronnie on the practice table there in the background

Someone needs to tell McManus that it's mid afternoon now. Not morning. Must have had a late one

MJW in the zone here. What a start

So here I was thinking that William's would be caught sleeping and it's the other way round. Maybe a Kebab @ 2:30 is a good idea. Anyone see him close the eyes for the last pink (frame 3)

It’s not an act in the sense that’s it’s ungenuine, but he is very much thinking about his mental approach and how he is going about it. It takes effort to make it as effortless looking as this, if that makes any sense. The kebab last night, eating sweets etc, all these are outside the normal routine and he’s using it deliberately to enhance his prospects. Or so it seems to me anyway.

What's the head to head record? Williams is lording it over Higgins, he definitely has a psychological edge

Terrible match so far. Williams won't be too worried

    Higgins awful so far.
Williams himself with only a high break of 42.
Very poor standard for a world final it has to be said.

Higgins be hoping for 9-7 at end of day...

If anyone ever needed a mid session interval..

Higgins is absolutely lost out there. MJW in cruise control

Higgins hasn’t been great all tournament it has to be said. You just expect him to get stronger the longer the match goes on, but not at the races yet anyway.

Higgins wasn't really ever playing catch up all tournament. I'm sure he'll be catching up here soon enough. Mark needs to make sure he gets 6-2 here anyway
