Did I seem him (Mark) replacing Coventry Mans Minstrels earlier?

Think this is going to be Marks ropey session. It’s now that last nights exertions will begin to tell, think he does look a bit more visibly subdued this evening. Wouldn’t panic for him yet if he’s behind, feel he will pick up again tomorrow.

Its all the sugar he had earlier.

All the bbc staff that are there and you’d think they’d be able to enlighten us on the important questions

No Ken, snooker is not like two boxers in a ring. Poor Ken being forced to say scripted things he'd rather not say, just to secure continued employment.

In a game of such fine margins, his lack of ability to split the pack properly is a telling weakness. He could be six ahead. Higgins just doesn't have any obvious weaknesses, bar being only about 80% with the rest.

If he comes out of tonight holding that 2 frame lead he should feel pretty good about his chances tomorrow.

Joanne was appalled at the prospect of mark retiring because she is a remote control hogger. I know the feeling! Seems a really nice gal.

Can’t actually lead by 2 as 17 frames played but think he’d be delighted with 9-8 and not too downcast if it turns out to be 8-9

Why didn’t they feature those 2 guys that are always in the same 2 seats sitting together, in that feature of snookers super fans.

snooker John is on of their names.

Well, splits are never guaranteed, I mean, it can be just a question of fractions out to hit the wrong ball, so maybe he's just been a bit unlucky. Doing splits really wrong is choosing the wrong ball to hit, rather than missing by small fractions the ball you hoped to hit. What I like about William so far is he has been going for the aggressive shots even if they haven't always worked out. They could do on another day.

It's not bad luck. He is either under arcing or over arcing nearly all the time. He's just not getting them right. If he was getting that shot correct he'd be well ahead by now.

I love MJW and have been bigging him up. Lovely player to watch. His shot making is incredible.

Another split gone terribly wrong for Williams

Again, another bad split that otherwise could have won him the frame. It's easy to be hyper-critical sitting on the sofa at home, but there is some obvious coaching areas that MJW could work on.

They probably refused to be interviewed

Good break from Mark to go 8-7 up. Be nice to see him get the ton.

You'd have to be up for Willo. He is just playing the more exciting snooker and pulling of the shots.

Great century from Williams, really needed it at the moment too
