The state of the absolute knob in the front row on Williams side wearing sunglasses!!

That was huge for Mark. Strong fav now.
Higgins wins that one and it was really on later.

There’s still a final on, just about. Happy enough with that.

Surely Higgins due the run of the ball tonight! It's the only chance he has

Higgins simply has to win the first mini session tonight 4-0, even if it’s 3-1, I think Mark would easily go 2-2 thereafter and still win comfortably.

Bit of a sweat on there for those outside the Crucible with final session tickets once Williams won those first 4 frames. Find yourself cheering on Higgins. But not too much.

Does Higgins being a Celtic supporter have something to do with his appeal to Irish snooker fans...?

Of the players of the era he commenced he was the only one I always had zero time for.....a newer version of Steve davis

A sentence i never imagined myself typing after about 2011 but Mark Williams must be a serious candidate for Sheffield way he's playing. Bar Ronnie doubt anyone has been more consistent or played better this year, as his top 5 ranking after China will attest. So few top rank contenders for the worlds anyway, he's got to be top of the secondary tier for me.

Posted this on the other snooker thread last month. Mention this not to brag, but merely to ask myself why the f... he's got one hand already on the trophy and I dont actually have a red cent on him :-(

Great shout alright. What price was he pre-tournament?

Would have been if i'd actually gone through and put hard cash on it. Thing was when I looked the best price on betfair was around 22/1 which was alright but I'd thought he'd be bigger which he would obviously have been earlier in the season. Allied to the fact he'd a hard draw and I thought Ding would win that half, I looked in the top half for a second bet and, by default, came up with Allen. It's so easy to overthink these things sometimes!

Never underestimate the Wizard of Wishaw. Needs some help from Williams but a great start for him. Would like Williams to win but would love a good close final more!

Could be a big moment here if Higgins can take advantage of that miss.
