Class, the man is a class act. Hendry couldn't do this into his 30s,let alone 40s. Ronnie wouldn't be able to do what John is doing right now either, not anymore. John Higgins is arguably the GOAT.

He's the best and toughest match player but Hendry is still the best of all time, for me.

Didn't see Higgins recovering in the way he has, given he seemed broken this afternoon. The only way Higgins could win I though was to raise his game significantly which he has, rather than hoping Williams would do a Hawkins.

Don’t know if John played that plant but I know Dennis definitely did not see it

Probably not for me but if he pulls this off I’d certainly have no issue with him being part of the conversation.

Dennis is still in mourning at the loss of Vicky watch in Round 1

This is amazing stuff from Higgins at the moment.

John is playing well but he's also been very lucky. Williams hasn't done anything wrong really and any time Higgins has missed, he's left nothing easy.

15:14 WIlliams. They are playing fairly fast so no chance of a late night finish.

Luck evens out over a match like this, but John was so lucky not to leave a handy red and knocking brown off cush as well. Run often goes with momentum in these matches.

Williams got all the luck this avo

It always amazes me how the momentum of matches can change with intervals....

    Please be another one.

I presume you didn't watch the previous three sessions then?

Certainly didn’t expect Higgins to win the first 4 frames this evening but it’s making a great evenings viewing!

Will take some heart from Williams to get going again here.

    14-7 up to 15-14.

    Crazy.

Can't believe Mark went for that and missed it by so much.

That in off was 100% on purpose.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,702 ✭✭✭Inviere

That in off by Williams had to be intentional? Granted he was out of options

Stra yourselves in this will go all the way to the end

Could be a long frame this one.

No it wasnt. Keeping your oppopent at this level off the table is imperative.
No advantage to give John a long pot chance.

Unless the only other option is leaving him a short one.

Better going in off than leaving the white in amongst the reds though, given there was no return to baulk. Definitely intentional imo
