Shimano di2 charger issue

    Bought a second-hand bike last Sept.
    Everything was working fine.
    I didn't need to charge the battery for the di2 ultegra at all.
    The bike has been lying up now a while and I checked the battery it was in the red so I popped it off and went to charge it
    It is the older pack sm-btr1
    When I put the battery in the charger the light comes on but only for about 5 seconds
    I never has this system before so it's all new to me
    Any ideas what's wrong?

    Could be the plug you are using that your putting the usb connector into

    It's the old model no usb connection just a plug and charger

    Problem solved the battery charged in about 40mins which I have not expected . I assumed it would take about 2 hours.
    I checked it by the junction box not by the derailer and it came up red
    I'm just popped it back in to double check and it came up fully green so all sorted
