I am trying to close my account for over six months now. I followed the procedure UB described on their website (I don't currently live in Ireland). In the meantime I was on to them countless times via phone, chat and formal mail.

Is there anything else I can do besides what I've been doing so far?

If you've gone through the internal complaints system within Ulster Bank then you can refer your complaint to the Financial Services Ombudsman: https://www.fspo.ie/make-a-complaint/
