Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

New team blitz event

    Kevin Burke will be running a new event on behalf of the ICU in the Talbot Hotel, Stillorgan on June 10th. Ivan Baburin will arbiter. We've been running a lot of blitzes recently and Kevin came to us with the idea of adding a bit of variety by making this event a team blitz event with 4 people per team. The entry fee is 25 euro per team (until June 1).

    We are limiting the event to 12 teams so that it runs as an 11 round round-robin. Board orders declared prior to the event must be kept throughout - the team pairings will be published in advance to speed up the process.

    Time control - 3 minutes + 2 second increment from move 1.

    Registration 5.30pm, round 1 at 6pm and there will be an endgame tournament prior to the event at 4pm.

    Game score decides results. NCC rules do not apply - teams can be formed regardless of club allegiences.

    As usual, the Talbot will have free (but somewhat limited) parking available.

    There are currently 11 teams signed up for this event so we have room for just one more.

    This event is now full with 12 teams. Pairings will be made in advance of the event but may not be available until the night of the event- we are currently awaiting a full list of players from each team.
