Yellow. Now Munster, best chance yet.

Racing have been excellent in fairness.

They have but Munster's error count and decision making has been utterly abysmal. How many times have they just bashed at the line rather than simply move it and walk it over? Another series of phases there with similar.

Racing haven't been 24 points better. Munster have just let them.

He's put in some very important tackles since coming on.

And again on Zebo. Great technique.

Feels like earls has been first responder at every ruck. Murray doing a lot of the clearing out as well. That's shocking.

Good man Zebo! So badly needed.

Would ye like Carbery or Byrne? Or why not even Sexton? Apparently thats the new thing now.

I’d take Ed Byrne and Paul Carbery at this rate before JJ and Keatley anymore at this level.

    come on lads!

The radio commentary of that conversion attempt might sum up the game well. "It started off well..."

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,353 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

There was no need for that from Zebo.

Take the contact of necessary. Racing were stretched.

That was an amazing pass had it come off.

The pass was fine. Barnes has ridden ye rock solid there IMO.

Leave the try be scored and then review?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,248 ✭✭✭✭Hurrache

I think that was pretty harsh call on the forward pass.

You must have seen a different opening 10 minutes to me!

That looked flat enough to let it go to TMO

Some pace by Cronin in all fairness.

That pass was never forward. Should have let it go and then reviewed. Terrible from Barnes.

  • Registered Users Posts: 209 ✭✭lillielad

Definitely should have reviewed it after the try, fcuk sake..

Shame Barnes couldn't spot a mile forward pass in 2007.

No, I'm still not over it.

    Clear early shove from Racing.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,708 ✭✭✭ScissorPaperRock

My my my. Let play go ahead and then check if the pass was forward ffs.

    :D

Did I ever tell ye the story of the bastard hand of Back?

Munster showing a bit more intent now, but keep butchering opportunities.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,899 ✭✭✭✭BBDBB

we look a beaten side, (with good reason to be fair) body language shows we are running on fumes

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Arnold not having a penalty against him there was definitely a sympathy call from Doyle.

Hanrahan will not settle for being second to Keatley in any respect. Keatley has a stinker? You're damn right he's gonna try and play worse.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,708 ✭✭✭ScissorPaperRock

Racing sucking the life out of this.

Of course I'd expect no less from Munster were tables turned.

I've not seen the game I've listened to it.

DOC is right, Racing have taken the foot off the gas and are allowing Munster's lack of composure keep the score line in check.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

There’s so much the BT commentary misses as they’re just waiting to get their words in and not commenting on what they see.
Racing completely off their feet there.

Have done so since the 15th minute truth being told.

Racing running down the clock and Munster haven't the heart.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,899 ✭✭✭✭BBDBB

I think we are showing heart, but I dont think its sufficient on its own

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Actually that score does not really reflect the match. Racing are just marking time now

The commentary teams of satellite broadcasters are rarely interested in actual detail, they just have a checklist of tabloid platitudes to tick off and in-game promos for their upcoming games to get through. Stick the cookie monster on the radio there.

    lovely kick

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,631 ✭✭✭✭Akrasia

We had 2 tries disallowed by the referee. First when Doyle got in the way, 2nd for the non forward pass. We played way below par but should be playing for a win now

The referee has nothing to do with Munster not playing for a win right now.

nah I think we are second best here today and at this stage of the competition theres no shame in that, what is disappointing is that we haven't performed today

Unfortunately Racing are the better team today.....by some distance.

Munsters back row has been obliterated. I've never seen Stander lose so many collisions

Game was over after the first 25 minutes.

Wonder why Racing weighed anchor in the 2nd half? Think it would have been more comfortable if they'd kept going.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,899 ✭✭✭✭BBDBB

Congratulations to Racing, better team today

Nice try for a bit of pride as I type but the scoreline flatters us and doesnt tell us the story of the game

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,230 ✭✭✭A-Train

Good try to make the scoreboard look respectable but this game was never in doubt

Doesn't change the fact the referee cost us 2 tries

Munster didn't show up for this one, embarrassing really. I thought Toulon would be our biggest obstacle, but never thought we would fold like we did against Racing today.

Edit: and yes, that ref should never again be allowed near games of this level.
