    Hi Folks,

Looking to upgrade from a 7770 graphics card. For Far Cry 5 its not keeping to 30 FPS and dropping under. due to it been maxed out on VRAM Generally game on a 720P 37 Inch screen.

Just want something to keep me ticking over. Cheaper the better but don't want to go second hand.

Currently have an I5 4660 8GB Ram and SSD.

    For 720p get a GTX 1050 or 1050 Ti.

How much VRAM does your 7770 have ?, if its 1GB its probably eating into system ram. Brand new cards are still above MSRP, but a 1050TI wouldn't be too bad, if it wasnt for the crypto boom id get an RX 570 but they are insanely overpriced right now.

For 720P a €160 GTX1050Ti would do you for ultra settings.

But a €120 GTX1050 would be a huge upgrade too.

I used to game on a 1440P Qnix screen with a GTX 970.
GTX 970 died and sold the QNIX as moved into a box room and have no room.
Current TV is at the foot of my bed. Had the 7770 as a spare from a while ago.

If I decided to go with the below what would you recommend.

42 inch 1080P TV and graphics card

4K Television and graphics card. (Very f-in tempted)

Can't really say which is better without knowing your priorities but realistically, to game at 4K you would need a minimum of a GTX1070 (€500).

    At 1080P a GTX1060 6GB (€320) would do pretty well.

I would also say, that if you're buying a 4K TV, there's really no point unless you're spending something like €800 at least.

All these €500 "4K HDR" TV's are generally pretty useless and you'd be better off with a high-end 1080P set.

Thanks for that. Think I'll just stick with the 1050 till i get out of this box room and look at something else then.

    Thanks for the help everyone!
