    Tokens cards are available in PayPoint outlets. You can phone PayPoint on 1800 923 259 for a list of stores in the area.

    Electric Ireland are aware that not all stores are currently selling tokens for token meters. For this reason, all token meter customers will be upgraded to Pay As You Go meters as it is easier to purchase top-ups for these meters. This upgrade is currently being completed and it will take some time for all token meter customers to get their meters replaced.

    For any queries relating to this or to request the exchange, we recommend contacting our colleagues on 1850 372 372. They are available from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday.

    Should you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

    Hi there, with PayPoint having left the Irish market last year, do you know who sells these token cards now please? I phoned three PayZone agents/stores & they don't appear to sell them.

    Thank you for getting in touch.

    The token meter needs to be removed as it is no longer possible to purchase these tokens. Last year, Electric Ireland attempted to contact all token meter customers to arrange removal of the token meter. The customer could either go back to bill-pay or get a Pay As You Go meter installed instead. We regret any inconvenience.

    With Pay As You Go meters, customers can top up online or in-store rather than purchasing tokens.

    As such, we recommend ringing our colleagues in the Credit Control department right away on 1850 504 021 to arrange the removal of the token meter and the installation of a Pay As You Go meter.
