Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    He checks the door, very carefully to see if it opens, checking the frame and handle for any traps.

    As he pushes the door it begins to give way, but he hears a clicking like a mechanism being primed.

    Vrakrash decides to head back towards the main room again. He returns to the door with the gem holder and reads the inscription again.

    The mechanisms on the lock release.

    It opens to a room with a locked chest and a Devil's skull embedded into the wall. Aside from that, the room is completely bare.

    Vrakrash takes the gem back OOC: if possible approaches the skull cautiously. He pokes at one of the eyes with the butt of his axe.

    Vrakrash approaches the skull again. He slices his finger with the tip of his axe, and allows the drops to flow into the devil's skull.

    He leaves and makes for the ash door again, axe drawn in case the three skeletons wish to tango.

    The mechanism releases. The room inside is bare save for a large circle inscribed with magical runes lying at its center. There are the odd draconic symbols among them reading:

    "...found....elf.....hubris...."

    Lying at the center of the circle is a key.

    Within the chest is a ruby ring. A drop of lava, still molten, is suspended within a magic field inside the ruby.

    He leaves the room and draws his axe, making for the stairs and the waiting skeletons.

    The skeletons swing at Varkrash, with one being felled quickly, before another near slices his stomach open just as he flips backward at almost enough speed to pull his leg muscles. He pauses for a moment and focuses his mind, regaining his fighting composure, before shattering the two with a single stroke from both weapons.

    Vrakrash scoops up the potions and heads down the ladder, checking it for traps and descending slowly.

    He climbs down the ladder for a few minutes before he enters a room with a lever, a potion and a glass floor.

    Through the glass floor is the LowerDark, the world beneath the Underdark. Beholder hoards roam, as well as several giant beasts Varkrash cannot name.

    "Fun? What are you....aaarrrggghhh!"

    They both fall quickly before the potion kicks in thirty seconds in. Still miles to fall though, should take another couple of minutes. One of the giant embessy crocodiles rises in the distance.

    "Never did I think such wonders existed" Columbo says in awe.

    And down and down they go......
