Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

I’m unfortunately on holiday for the referendum - is there any way I can vote by proxy or via a postal vote?!

    Thanks Dave

Thanks I read all that - nothing mentioned about by proxy or a postal vote if you are on holiday though...

Nope, sorry. Proxy/postal voting is highly restricted in Ireland, where traditionally we have seen the main problem not as enabling people to vote, but as preventing them from voting twice.

Which is fair enough, a quick look at what happened in Tower Hamlets in London shows the issues of implementing less secure access to postal voting.

Postal voting limited to Soldiers and such here asfaik.

As pointed out it has been abused in spectacular fashion in England.
