Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm not sure how a repeal vote would hurt a no voter. It's not like a yes vote will insist on them having an abortion.

But a no vote restricts someone's ability to choose for themselves. I'm sick and tired of people being hand held through life. People should be able to choose what they feel is right for themselves.

How many of us would not be here if abortion was the norm 10,20,30,40,50,60 years ago .

Based on my upbringing, some people shouldn't have kids.

There is a such thing as too far to the left, and that is where Ireland is going in last few years. No moral or values are safe, and few are left.

What if a woman wants an abortion but a man doesn't, are his rights ignored? What if a man wants an abortion and a woman doesn't, does he get off supporting the child forever because she over rules him?

He not carrying it for 9 months so he has no rights. Woman’s decision. He wouldn’t be the first man to not support a child he didn’t want.

There is a doctor there for the 'No' side also, to be fair.

No, there isn't. Two doctors on the Yes side. And on the No side, we have Caroline Simons (a solicitor and former Libertas candidate) and Wendy Grace (a presenter on a radio station run by Catholic fundamentalists).

How do you quantify that risks??

Why is a woman's health only treated when there is a risk of dying??

As a man imagine if you went to the dentist and said my tooth is killing me.
Ah yes Sir, it's infected we need to remove that, sit there for a few days and we will do it then

In England, women are buying illegal abortion pills, which is illegal, a Dutch company that send pills to Ireland said they had over 500 were requested by women in England.

Homosexuality was considered a mental illness by the American Psychological Association in the 70 s. I suppose you would have blindly followed them because they're professionals. Why do people think that doctors don't have an agenda?

It really hasn't. Self declared left wingers think its right wing, self declared right wingers think its left wing etc. Ireland is a centrist country that swings either right or left depending on the issue.

I should add, left and right are mostly meaningless terms these days.

If anything goes wrong while taking these (safe) pills they can go to their GP. Unlike Irish women...because it is illegal.
