I kinda gave up on watching Love Island UK..... it's telling that my last post on this thread (above) related to Adam :pac:

It really took a nose dive in terms of drama/storyline/anything, so I wasn't too pushed following it anymore.

To sum up though, I'm glad Jack won.... I've no real opinion on Dani, but Jack was the best and the only one who had any discernible personality.


Fair play to Laura coming second, the guy she got with was hot (?Paul)... they looked well together.


The UK series really dampened my spirit :rolleyes:, don't reckon I'll tune into the Oz one....


(Also, as an aside, I don't think i would have lasted as long watching L.Island, if it weren't for this thread - the craic was mighty )

The UK producers have probably killed the golden goose. It became so scripted that they all turned into really bad actors. There was v little realness to it at all... not sure if I am losing my mind but I don't remember last season or 2016 version being so scripted. I really enjoyed those years. The 2018 one was a bag of ****e.

Absolute garbage tv, had to laugh at Laura giving Charlie the cold shoulder for "cheating" even though he denied it but then falling all over Georgia.

I watched it and regrettably lost an hour and a half of my life, which I will never get back. Pure contrived tripe. I found having to watch Ewok and Chanelle shifting each other, whilst fully clothed in a swimming pool, patronising. I did not tune in to watch reality tv soft porn.

The faux-arguments created between two of the other couples were cringeworthy. Even the rich bloke felt violated by his actions, you could see it in his eyes, they said " why am I even here".

It won't stop me watching next year however. I am a sucker for such punishment. Also Laura should start her own spin off. She is hilarious for all the wrong reasons.

Laura has been doing a few mornings on Capital Radio in Scotland, in fairness she was decent in the sidekick role so she might be going down that route.
She did say she was pushing hard for Strictly but they've pretty much told her they avoid reality tv.
