Also, the clean up of Kendall's incident in the UK. Is that totally done now, or was there a vibe that the British police still might come knocking?

That's all forgotten now. They paid off those that mattered.

What's the deal with Kendall getting chauffeured on the bike?

Initially he wanted to ride solo but his father wouldn’t allow it....

In high traffic areas like Manhattan, you can get from A to B on the back of a bike to avoid the traffic. It's used by financial traders, American-Psycho types etc.

I though it was his dad exerting his control

In season 1 when his plan was to have a vote of no confidence to get rid Logan,he got caught in traffic and couldn't get to the meeting.Everything went wrong and he got fired.
Maybe he doesn't like traffic anymore

Maybe a fear of cars after crashing into the lake ?

Just started watching this a week ago and I'm hooked. Took me a couple of episodes to warm to it but it just gets stronger and stronger. All the characters are hateful but the acting is great.

    Fear of traffic jams
    Fear of car accidents
Combined with a coke habit could be chaotic when asked to go for a drive with Logan

    I missed Season 1.

I thought it was on Prime so signed up, no luck.

How can I watch Season 1 cheaply. I'll pay if I have to but don't want to shell out too much.

Now TV. Think they do a 14 day free trial then €15 a month

Tom and Greg's exchanges this week were hilarious. Can tell Will Ferrell is involved.

Did they put glass barriers on the roof top at the end of the show?

Yes. Fits in with Logan asking
    Where's Kendall, is he ok?
    so much during the episode.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 855 ✭✭✭duffysfarm

So does he really care about him or would it be inconvenient if something happened to him?

I think it's a bit of both which is so messed up.

He wants to punish him for what he did - but there's worse ways to punish him - he's still joint CEO and right hand man and he could have just been booted altogether.

There's a great article here about how broken Kendall really is.

    https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/fien-print/succession-safe-room-jeremy-strong-interview-1235677

I think Logan is the only one who really appreciates how damaged Kendall is now.

Episode as a whole was amazing, the way they are able to make the scenes so funny whilst also developing the characters is really impressive. Everyone in last nights episode had something significant happen to them - even Conor!

Another great episode. Gets better and better

Best show on TV at the moment, superb all round. That scene with Ken in the bed though.......!!

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 23,219 ✭✭✭✭beertons

What just happened there? They were in talks to buy out a family, had a sleepover in their house, rowed and flew home in helicopters. Then Gregory comes in and says good job. Did they take the money?

He got the phonecall when they landed in the helicopter, they clearly accepted the "take the f*cking money" Shakespeare quote :pac:

Oh right. I didn't think they'd go through with it. With the Siobhan thing.

No. They just took the fcuking money.

    Siobhan
    Siobhan
    Siobhan - why?

The dinner scene was great. Tom was right - the most Roy thing ever. The smaller meeting was blood sport, you had to know the f-word would make an appearance and always happy to see what Cherry Jones can bring to proceedings.

Remind me to stay clear of the chopper if Logan ever goes full on demonic. :o:pac:

Enjoying it a lot more than season one. Tom is hilarious.

Logan Roy is smooth (not smooth)

    "We hear for you"

For anyone interested, slate are running an episode recap podcast that's quite good.

Did anyone notice Roman’s George Castanza reference when he was getting out of the car: “Time is what I’m indicating here”

Few questions after a fairly dark episode last night:

    - Is Logan the better parent?!
    - Is Tom in trouble?
    - Where's Marcia?

    Is Tom in trouble?

Hard to call, I think. I'm not sure if he or Greg could be sacrificed. Greg perhaps easier to throw away to some far flung theme park. Fair chance he might lose his office I'd guess. Tom, bigger head to be chopped if they had to be seen to do for that PR. Suppose it'll all hinge on what the investigation finds. Marriage to Siobhan complicates it. When they were torching the documents I was half expecting Tom to shove Greg against wall and ask if he was wearing a wire.

Love the show. 96% of it is simply people talking in rooms, brief phone calls or time on the plane. Last week we had Tom's 'the MySpace of STDs'...:pac: plus that late scene in the car park - Cox, Jones and Hunter all together. TV doesn't get better than that. Put them in a play, please. This week I thought Kendall was going to vomit when he went to house of the bereaved. Or consider the suicide route. That and near every second sentence Ken came out with had Logan retorting 'excuse me?!' They got the dinosaur reference in there again! Don't really know Rhea's game, tbh. Logan scolded Siobhan about family, and then he asked Rhea to search more widely...so where does that leave us, the viewer?

Has it ever been mentioned who Conor's mother is?

    Worse than Hitler.

    Awesome.

    Words to live by, folks.

Credit to Jeremy Strong on the rap. I could not do that. :o I thought Siobhan was going to be left in the wilderness, tbh. Greg's in a pickle alright. Aaaand don't buy the wrong football team! Marcia...

    Still 2 more.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,652 ✭✭✭EltonJohn69

Really considering getting a Logan Roy tattoo.... going to wait till after the season finally and then make the decision.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,849 ✭✭✭Brussels Sprout

So is the sacrifice going to be Kendall? Seems like Greg is destined to get shafted as well especially since he effectively gave up his inheritance.

Jaysus, Tom at the hearing! :o I did actually laugh at the Tomlette emails.

    Ken did well.

Great scene with Siobhan and the woman in the playground/park.

Logan getting the outcome he actually wanted? Going down in a blaze of controversy and the business eventually comes out with a "clean" family member CEO at the other end?
