Hi, Does anyone know of a company to insure a gsxr 600 on a full a2 licence and does it have to be restricted?

Insurance companies usually base it on several factors , not just the bike. You're better off calling around. Also before you buy the GSXR600 make sure its restricted to 35kw as your licence wont cover you to drive it regardless of what insurance you have.

You can't use a GSX-R600, or any 600cc sportbike, on an A2 licence as its original unrestricted power is over 70kw.

Honda have an extensive 500 range that is made specifically for the A2 licence. Give them a look man.

Sell it, or wait until you have an A licence.

Basically,, No sportsbikes on an A2 licence because they are over 70kw.
70kw is the max before restriction back to 35kw.

A thing to note is that most insurance companies will want a factory restricted bike which are impossible to get, maybe priory Suzuki can fit an official restrictor but a regular bike shop won't do it.

Also bikes run like **** with restrictors in them. I rode my bike today in wet mode to see if fuel economy changed, it restricts the bhp to half. It was pretty much unrideable so I'd imagine a restrictor is the same.
