Best Guinness is in Belmullet but it'll be flat by the time you get to the best beer garden in Westport.

You won't find much better than this.

The Towers Bar & Restaurant: great food, a snug type pub area inside too as well as a restaurant, fantastic scenery and if you're going this weekend there's a Circus 100m away if you have any kids that need selling.

Great views of Clew Bay and its islands from the dining room

Way, way back the building on that site was the Harbour Constabulary Barracks; hence the good view of the approach to Westport Harbour

Half the fun is finding out!

I wouldn't be brave (or knowledgeable) enough to call it but there are loads of pubs to choose from within the town.

All Guinness is standardised now via the quality team.

    That it is not!!
They say it is, but some places have Guinness that goes down like milk, and some have an ok pint.
Shiity pints are near extinct but there are differences in quality of pints.

With all due respect, that's absolute nonsense. Do you work for Diageo?

There are a heap of variables that can make Guinness good or bad. Some lad calling around every 3-4 weeks isn't going to make every pint taste the same.

You also have factors totally outside of Guinness' control, like washing the glasses for instance. Guinness from a glass laced in detergent is not a good pint.

No need for specifics lads was just a general question on where a local would consider for a good pint of guinness. Cheers:)

It's specifics like this that will lead you to your perfect pint ;)

Matt Molloys, The Porter House are always popular spots. You'll find plenty of good pints being served.

Agree 100%. The pubs with locals tend to have the best Guinness.

I would add the clock and McGings to the above 2 pubs
