Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not a fan or ramos but both players looked to be linking arms if you will, an unfortunate event I'm devastated for Salah. Big 45 ahead, come on you reds!

Ramos was going for the armbar there.

    Wrong sub.

Midfield is now being torn asunder.

I can't see Lallana doing anything other than racking up the "KMs covered" stats I'm afraid.

I usually never buy into the 'dark arts'. Watch the games and barely comment. I'm an Arsenal fan FFS!

But there was full intent to injure and maim in that challenge.

I still feel Liverpool will win it. Salah going off injured is very reminiscent too CR7 going off early in the Euro 2016 Final.

Who said Ramos isn't a loathsome character?

Even if he was ordered to do in Salah, the nature of that injury was not some part of Ramos master plan. The injury was a freak accident. It wasn't even the arm Ramos was dragging that went...........

wait till you see the clip again..Salah basically ended up full force going down on that arm.
Ramos knew exactly what he was doing there...he had Salah's arm held and tripping him was going to result in possible injury. He's an experienced defender and knows the ins and outs of tackling etc.
You can see he clearly swung Salah down hard once he knew he had got the leg in.

Shout out to the RTÉ caption.
    "No Salah"

Dana White apparently interested in making an offer to Ramos. He's impressed with his use of the infamous side-arm shoulder breaker, often seen in many UFC bouts. A lot will depend on how Ramos deals with the imminent assault charges he'll surely be facing.

    On Ramos.

He didn't mean to injure per se.

But he absolutely paid no attention to Salah's safety. He could've let go before they hit the ground.

How can it be acceptable for you to be wishing harm to players(in a game which the team you support are not even playing), others get cards for sneezing.Do you get away with it if you post more often?

Ramos must have went to see Royce Gracie if he managed to deliberately injure Salah from that position.

Darragh Moloney must be a Liverpool fan sich was his confidence there before cutting to the ads.

Ramos is scum. Always has been. Anyone telling themselves that wasn't intentional is deluded. Going into the game I was a neutral leaning slightly towards Liverpool hoping for a good game. Now I hope Liverpool beat them by any means necessary.

As usual Liverpool getting no luck.

Hopefully it changes in the 2nd half.

You'd think Klopp would be busy getting his team ready for the second half instead of constantly trying to sell me an Opel.

I do hope Carvajal and Salah make the Wc though.

Two quality players in their primes and they deserve to be out in Russia.

He had a lucky draw for the group stages
Then a lucky enough draw all the way to the final

I honestly disagree again, Ramos would intentionally injure someone during that. He is the master of making it look unintentional. He IS that level of piece of sh!t.

Agree, he was in tears, terrible thing to happen to anyone no matter when especially on such an occasion.

Still think Ramos meant to drag him down yes. Assuming he wanted to hurt him is a bit over the top though. But understandably emotions are running high.

And had Salah essentially fit for the whole season. All their direct rivals had to deal with key players injured for some part of the season.

The hamstring looked nasty and seen he was getting treatment pre match on it too. Not a good sign

Start of the second half will be interesting, Klopp has to come up with something. I think Liverpool have to score first to have any chance.

I actually agree. He's oldshcool and he's done this so many times in his career
He wants to win no matter what

Whether their was intent or not that challenge by Ramos was disgraceful.
If it goes to penalties Id love to see him the only player to miss.

  • Registered Users, Subscribers, Registered Users 2 Posts: 47,336 ✭✭✭✭Zaph

Ignoring the fact that Ramos is, and always has been a dirty player, as a neutral the game is definitely diminished as a spectacle without Salah on the pitch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,882 ✭✭✭Macker1

I don't like seeing players getting injured especially in such a big game but I did say to my son as we were heading up to the pub that don't be surprised if Salah is targeted with some hefty challenges with the plan of eliminating his threat. Hopefully Karma occurs with Ramos giving away a penalty and being sent off.

Bale and Asensio still to play their part.

As I say, this would be miraculous.
