Any tips on the best stopping point for a picnic on this walk?

Gonna be doing this over the summer so looking for local knowledge.

    Thanks

Maynooth to Enfield is approx 20k. The first 10k (Maynooth to west of Kilcock) is already finished with a mix of some tarmac but mainly small smooth stone. After that it turns to grass until Enfield (there may be a small piece finished at Enfield)

There's no specific picnic areas on the route and after Kilcock (6k from Maynooth) it is rural so you wont be able to buy anything. I would suggest bring along your own food and drink and stop half way. That would be at the end of the stone and start of grass and is at Lock 17 where there is some grass to sit beside the lock itself
