With riverfest and the great limerick run on today (assuming it's this sunday you're asking avout), I'd personally avoid town as parking will be a nightmare. As will getting into and out of the city.

Just something to consider.

What direction are you coming in from? What time?

The Strand do a great buffet Sunday lunch normally busy though

Thanks for replies we ended up going over to Woodfield house on the ennis road would definitely recommend it was lovely.
