Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    teh average temperature differential in ireland between summer and winter is about 12 degrees... 20 ish down to 8 ish

    so we dont get very warm summers which would require active cooling, nor do we get really cold winters which require active heating.

    we in the goldilocks zone, if you will

    1) Infrastructure, which needs to be updated
    2) Our fines for our carbon emissions which need to be paid

    Our politicians are drooling over these companies & selling the Irish taxpayer a pig in a poke

    Goldilocks is sort of right although there are big data centres in Arizona which is quite hot, what they really need is smaller temperature ranges so our not too hot summers and not too cold winters suit, they tend to be sited in politically stable countries, a big thing is access to fibre networks, we are well positioned for transatlantic cables and cables to Europe, we have good internal infrastructure with clusters of data centres around the m50 in particular taking advantage of a fibre ring T50 I think it’s called.

    Like it or not data centres are needed and people on the internet complaining about them is somewhat ironic.
