How long for replacement/repair

    Hi, I've just submitted a query about a broken TV power brick to the service department. They'll cover the technical side, but I was just wondering how long it might typically take to get a new part shipped out?
    Would I theoretically have to send the tv and power brick back for diagnostics, or would the part itself be replaced (it's a 2016 Sony bravia if that's relevant).


    I guess what I'm really asking is, will I be watching the eurovision on my laptop this year?

    I will have our service department look into this first thing in the morning but our typical time for ordering parts is around 14 days. It will be Eurovision on the laptop I'm afraid. Our service advisor is back in in the morning and he will either book the TV in for a service call or arrange a new part to be ordered. I know it sounds obvious but have you tried changing the fuse in the plug just in case?

    Thanks David,
    Yeah I changed the fuse three times, when connected to the TV, just the power brick on its own, and in a different socket.
    All three times the fuse popped, so I'm pretty confident that it's the power brick itself that's busted.

    I guess I'll just be telly-less for a couple of weeks.
