Brussels airport to Charleroi

    arrive at 0915 on a Thursday and my flight doesnt leave until 1830 from charleroi

    anyone recommend the cheapest route (bus and/or train) where I can maybe stop for lunch somewhere decent

    unfortunately I have a 30€ flixbus voucher but the timetable doesnt suit.

    most affordable is to get bus from Brussels Airport into City (will need to change bus or change to metro) and have lunch

    Get a 12 Bus into Schuman and change to Metro into city centre


    Then go to Gare du Midi (on bus or metro) and get bus to Charleroi aiport

    Waterloo is a nice spot and directly between Brussels and Charleroi, but might be awkward for bus times and routes. A quick check shows buses from Brussels Airport to Waterloo at €7-8 with a 15 or 30 mins frequency, and Waterloo to Charleroi at about €10 at least every hour.
