Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    That's brilliant from Earls

Not sure if James Ryan is a slow runner or if my tv just couldn't keep up with him.

A few questionable calls going in favour of both sides

It's the stride length, looks like he's jogging but he's really covering 3 metres each step.

JOD looked like his knee got twisted badly in the collapse of bodies

Bilbao beer catching up with him I’d say.

He looked ridiculously slow, but was making good ground

    Unnecessary from Furlong there.

I think JMcGrath had a lovely inside pass to Lowe for the try

Like to look of the new irish wing james low, Zebo got run over and then run around. out with the old in with the new,

    By Furlong? Yeah, looked bad

When you see the increase in head injuries its completely ridiculous that people can American football style slam people in the breakdown but have to wrap when tackling.

Those kind of smashes happen too much at the breakdown and more of an emphasis needs to be made on eliminating them.

Referee making very dodgy calls for both sides. Leinster turnover and Earls penalty both pretty clear bad calls.

Hope that’s not too bad for JOD, assume he’d be in the squad to Australia.

Why not allow that to play on and check the pass afterwards?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,817 ✭✭✭✭bilston

Sounds like Stuart Barnes has decided on the MOTM award already...

They are illegal. Furlong should have been penalised for that clearout.

Because it was obvious that it was forward.

    It actually wasn't.

    No clear release there

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,147 ✭✭✭testtech05

Jack o'D knee seemed to twist badly as he got caught in a clear out while McGrath was holding onto his lower leg. Looked like could be a long term injury but hopefully not!

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

    Furlong looks shattered already.

Conan gave that penalty away because he was too concerned with pulling up his shorts instead of placing the ball.

Good to see Munster with a bit of drive behind them, been missing for the last few games.

Leinster clearly haven't been doing enough "recover from shorts down situational" drills, terrible coaching.

One of the most infuriating thing about pro rugby, the completely unnecessary skip pass

  • Registered Users Posts: 686 ✭✭✭Flincher

Furlong is getting away with murder at the ruck. He's already injured O'Donoghue by going off his feet and there was another dangerous clear out on Stander. Ref bizarrely gave penalties for holding on in both scenarios, so the penalty went the right way. Its frustrating that it's not being picked up because its so blatant.

He was afraid of Furlong coming in behind him in the ruck

    Indeed. Wouldn't happen under Joe's watch :P

If we were wondering where the referee's line is for "rolling away" for tacklers, we've discovered has to basically try to lie on top of the scrum half's feet before its called!

None of Munsters kicks have been contestable, very unlike them.

Another forward pass missed. Great tackle by arnold

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,723 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

That was superb defence by Arnold.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

    Lowe should have finished that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,978 ✭✭✭✭irishbucsfan

    Brilliant from Arnold

Brilliant tackle. Really thought he was over again.

Larmour absolutely breaking his bo****ks off to get back in play after tripping over Zebo but Zebo just jogging back. Hasn't been giving it his best for Munster for a while.

To be fair, zebo is a great player, but he's always been lazy

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Great break from Murray and Conway. Zebo utterly butchered that. Almost certain try through the hands.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

    That went miles wide........

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,151 ✭✭✭letowski

That's so disappointing, Munster played some good rugby there.
