Meh life's too short to be in a job you hate......if your happy with something in your life....it's up to yous to fix it

Just because every day isnt a festival of fulfilment doesnt mean you hate your job though, which is what Conservatory was saying.

Do what makes you happy....I've a shiite paying job....but I'd not swop it for any money

What kinda job takes 10 years study??what's the alternative...work every day and die a little and let it drain the happiness outta you??

By all means if that's what ya want work away...seems a waste of a life to me tbh

For me to earn what I earn now in any other industry would take at least ten years of study and promotion. I’d like to be a rockstar really would. I’d do all the cool rockstar things but I’m just not talented or lucky or cool enough. Same with being a footballer.
So like everybody else I have to knuckle down do my job and hope my kids have better opportunities. In the end they won’t spend everyday loving their job either.

Would you not rather do a job you like though??

It would mentally destroy me to face going into a job I didn't like everyday for years on end.....graveyards are full of work martyrs

martin 101 you need to quit that job and go do something you want to do, dont listen to that crap from anyone else that being an adult means you have to suck up being in a job you hate to pay the bills. it is easier than you think to do what you want to do.

I get joy seeing my children and wife have all they want. What do you work at that’s so great?

Everyone would love to love their job but for a lot of people its a means to an end; go in, do the job, go home, get paid. No love for it, no hate for it. Just apathy. Work to live and all that.

Well that I'm not willing to reveal....but to me anyway no money is worth going to job where your not happy

If your kid wasn't happy going to school everyday and it was slowly draining life outta em....you wouldn't tell em plough on,why do it to yourself?

You would take your son out of school if he wasn’t enjoying it? He probably hates school because his dad has some fantasy job that doesn’t pay and he can’t afford to go to the cafe with his friends at break time.

Do you think blocklayers love laying block after block?

Lots of of people do their jobs without loving their job.

No kid likes school... so you would take them out of school and just let them live life as a free spirit?

On the building site we just get shouted at when they turn the water on for about a week every six months or so. Then onto the next site and it’s all plain sailing again. You get used to it.

Certainly wouldn't send em to a school that was draining life outta em and making em unhappy

There's a world of difference between not liking school and making em unhappy :)

You're trying to compare apples and oranges.
