Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Sanchez was fouled there

Utd so need two new full backs.....Valencia. has already wasted 2 or 3 chances to put in a cross....instead passing the ball square....and you just know Young will turn back onto his right foot before crossing the ball.

Neither was a peno. Utds passing is appalling.

World class from Hazard there, one of the best first touches you’ll see.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,612 ✭✭✭eigrod

    How slow is Jones

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Jones limping...would be full on Jones if he’s injured himself.

Hazard's been the best player on the pitch so far.

That's the ball game. Chelsea parked bus and countered from start. They will continue that on and pick United off

    Red card surely?

    Utd lucky

Genuine attempt to play the ball means no red card. New rule came in recently.

Last man is a red card last time I knew

Hate seeing players looking for cards. But how is that not a red. If he missed the peno there woukd have been basically no punishment.

Just shows the state of the English national team when defenders like that are selected for it.

Why would he not trust de gea to save any shot and just stay on his feet to put hazard off? Brainless

Phil Jones being, well, Phil Jones. You always get the impression that he's never too far away from a fcuk up.

That blue bus will be tough to get through now for sure.

Particularly when rashford has his head firmly up his ass.

The law has changed. Poll explained it clearly on BT.

Chelsea scoring the first goal is the only chance of this being a watchable final, so very happy with that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,606 ✭✭✭Damien360

At least it livens up the game. It was very stale before that.

Utd have given Hazard too much respect. Especially down the left when 2 Utd defenders just stood looking at him instead of tackling. He was offside just after that happened.

Utd look lost with very poor passing. Really missing the big man up front.

    More wayward passing from Utd

The rule has been changed. If there is a genuine attempt to play the ball inside the penalty area it is NOT a red card.

It is if it’s outside the area or if it isn’t a genuine attempt to play the ball.

    Nice one Herrara.

Amazing how many people, pundits and commentators included, don't know the rules about giving cards when a foul leads to a penalty.

    It's a yellow. Not a red.

In any case, what a first touch by Hazard, want to see that one again. Did him with one touch

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

    What the hell was that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,294 ✭✭✭thee glitz

I reckon, as a Chelsea fan, that the penalty + yellow is punishment enough. Last man tackle and outside the box, but clear through, I'd say red. Or penalty + yellow! By the book though, it should have been red.

Edit: It appears that the rule has been changed, and yellow was correct. Glad it has been.
