Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can't take Pogba off after that - he needs a chance or many to redeem himself.

Forgot sanchez was still on the pitch

Hazard would do my head in.

Chelsea very ordinary in attack outside of Hazard.

The **** is this obsession with just holding the ****ing ball instead of playing it quickly

Pogba will take the heat from the press for this overall performance but nobody has been good for Utd. Except for long shots from Sanchez, Matic and the odd Pogba flurry, the whole team has been poor. Passing except for a 10min spell in the early second half has been ****e.

Chelsea have sat very deep all game and except for Hazard haven't been great to watch either. Much like the setup small teams in PL do against the big 6. Whether it's a game plan or not is hard to tell.

This game had 1-0 Hazard (pen) written all over it to be fair.

Rudiger has defended very well today.

I reckon I'd defend well against the tragedy that is the United attack today

I prefer it to Sky. You can see the team shape much better and see the opportunities yourself

Used to like when sky had the multiple camera options on the red button. You could switch to one at the end for a bit and see the whole pitch

I know this has been said many times before, but N'Golo Kante is a phenomenal player

He should have been carded after 7 minutes and his influence on the game becomes minimal.

Be there for another 4 hours and won't score

It was always likely to be a close, tactical game.

Jones' mistake has proved costly. Hazard was the best player and has proved the difference. United didn't have enough creativity to deserve better.

    Chelsea deserving winners. No complaints.

Yawn fest. Neither team turned up to play.

Well done Chelsea, aside from Pogbas header there were no clear cut chances for us, we simply weren't good enough.

I'm actually debating whether I'll watch this. Two teams that I'd like to see lose should be a winner and yet....
    Happy with that :)

You nailed your colours to the post fairly early on allright.

  • Gutted, we really should not have lost it

Congrats to Chelsea all the same

Another big game where there's nothing from Sanchez and Pogba. United really created nothing there and Chelsea deserve that.

S**t fest of a game TBH.

Delighted to have won in the end though.

Well done Chelsea. Conte is a class act and that’s a nice parting gift for him. United were absolutely dire, normally much better at chasing a game than that and Chelsea didn’t even defend at the highest level today.

Both teams were poor overall thought tbf.

Cheer up United fans ye could still win the "Liverpool lost the cl final" trophy next weekend.

I will have a go. Chelsea have parked the bus from minute one and strangled the life out of the game. Yet people are talking about Jose being the issue. Your assessment is dishonest because it ignores Chelsea role in this game.
not dishonest at all. Utd have the potential to play exciting attacking football much more than Chelsea so the easiest way to make this final entertaining was for Chelsea to go ahead.

Anyway Chelsea deserved it, it may not have been pretty but they played with a purpose that was sorely lacking from utd.

Mourinho really has no Plan B against decent sides. He parks the bus and hopes to sneak a goal and then deploy a flat back 10 for the rest of the game.

Only works if the opposition don't score first.

And he'll want another £300 million to spend in the summer to improve the squad.....

Still think that there's not much wrong with that United squad individually and that a better manager would get a lot more out of them.

As a neutral it was a piss poor game to watch. Draw would have been a fair result.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

The quality was pretty poor today from both sides.

    Entertaining 2nd half though.

A fitting end to Pogba's season. He was muck again today.

He was but in fairness to him, he never went hiding unlike Sanchez. He was still getting up there right towards the end and throwing himself into attacking corners.

Think a better manager than Mourinho would put an arm around his shoulder, build his confidence back up and get more from him.

I'm glad they stayed, were made to stay maybe, and watch them lift the trophy but you do have to wonder how many of them actually care

Well deserved win. Conte did a job on Mourinho today. Jose fell right into the trap.
