    Hey guys,

My current PC is coming up on five years old in the next few months and as per the title I'm wondering if it's worth my time/money to convert it into a HTPC/media server and hooked up to the TV in my living room.

    CPU | AMD FX-6300
    Motherboard | ASRock 970 Extreme4
    Memory | 8GB Kingston HyperX blu PC3-12800U
Cooler | CM Hyper 212 EVO
PSU | be quiet! Pure Power 500W
GPU | Sapphire Radeon HD 7950
Storage | 250GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD (OS)
    | WD Blue 2TB (Games)
    | Toshiba P300 3TB (Media)
Case | Nanoxia Deep Silence 2

I was thinking of replacing the motherboard and case with micro-ATX versions but keeping most/all of the other components.

Alternatively would I be better off picking up something like a used Dell Optiplex and putting my current graphics card in it for output/HDDs while selling off the other components?

    Cheers,
    Zeit
