Wooden Electric Gate

    Hi

    I'm currently installing electric gates. Have FAAC underground boxes in place so ready to go.

    Opening is just over 16' so its wide.

    Now all along we were planning on installing a wooden gate but upon quoting with different manufacturers/Sawmills they were nearly all very reluctant to even quote us due to the width of the opening and the problems it may present down the line.......
    Sagging of the gate and issues with opening in strong winds being the main things.

    I hadn't foreseen this issue at all in my naivety so were disappointed.

    Neither of us are overly keen on iron gates but it seems we have no choice.

    Has anybody come across this before where an opening is too wide?
