Hey - just wondering if there's any more course detail on this? It's obviously going to be good weather on Thurs and should be cooler by 8.

    Thanks

I think it said you can sign up on the night also for E18 as opposed to the E15 online.

If I go I'll be trying for sub 40. If I do it it'll be last minute but yeah I'd like to jump in if possible.

Word of warning it’s been a consistent 27 degrees here all day, it’s supposed to drop to 24 at race time but with that weather just get round in one piece will be a good run out.

Good race. A few small drags on the course but not too bad.

A lot of shade, especially in the first half, so that saved me I think. But it was hot and mile 4 to 6 was tough. The stewards at the water station on the way back in throwing the water on us was heaven! Happy enough to get in under 40.

As with all these local races, organised by clubs, it had a good vibe and was fun to do.

That was my first time doing this race and when you consider it’s the closest race to my house I’ve no idea why I haven’t ran it before.

As above the heat between 4-6 was unreal but thankfully a local resident had his hose out spraying across the road so that helped massively. Unfortunately for me while most were able to use the shade during the first half with my height it felt like my shoulders and head were always in the sun.😂

Overall a great run out and a well organized race that I will definitely be doing again.

Good to see I looked about as bad as I felt :P. Scoffed at the thoughts of taking on water at 3km in a 10k race. By 4k I realised I was in trouble haha.

Smashing race. Great organisation and no messing about, I loved the course too, nice bit of shade on the return.
Will definitely be back next year for this one.
