Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I understand that Flemmings butchers has closed its doors and closed the shop.
This means the only butchers/fishmongers are Supermarket counters (Tesco/Super-Value) Pre-packed chilled shelves (Lidl/Aldi) Des Doyle in Tesco or the small counter in Donnybrook fair.

This to me is surprising that a town like Greystones seems not to be able to support a high quality butchers, the fish counter will certainly be missed by me.

    Any thoughts?

twice I got meat there, twice it was off. I didn't go back.

Farrelly's in Delgany is supposed to be good.

Farrelly's are excellent. Just pop in for a chat, the team usually have me in stitches.
Their food though is second to none, and just around the corner you'll get fish in The Delgany, just dodge the cake counter or you'll never leave.

Yeah had bad luck with the meat too. I oddly get more from a butcher in Ballybrack when I'm visiting the in-laws!

    Farrellys in Delgany is excellent

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

I assume that rent on the main street is astronomical. Hopefully it will be replaced with something good rather than another coffee shop.

we don't seem to have reached peak coffee yet. Might make a good location for Insomnia to move to - their existing unit is very pokey.

I know what you mean. There are stretches of up to 10 yards on the Main Street with no coffee shops on either side :D
