Yes terrible man. His instalment of puriatn government was a disaster in terms of progress towards a secular society.

At least none of the crew were sent to Davy Jones' Locker.

Oliver Cromwell as a boat vs. The vengeful and unforgiving Eire supported by her sea shores.

The boat was sold last year for a quarter of a million pounds.. imagine being the owner watching it go under

One can guess what his motives were for buying a boat bearing that name.

He was the only leader to deliver as close to a Republic that England has ever seen. The Royal Wedding wouldn't have happened under his watch.

    Of course

Sure they weren't even born when he died

There also wouldn't have been any airplanes under his watch

    Or mobile phones

    Or Facebook

It's not particularly historic, or steam driven, just a barge with some bits stuck on to make look vaguely like a Mississippi paddler.

He was obsessed with over throwing the monarchy and creating a republic and didn't mind slaughtering innocent people in the process.

I'm surprised the shinners hate him so much :pac:

:D So many myths about him too. Cromwell was no more brutal than other leaders back then.
