U 20 next year, so its hard luck on the lads u20. Looks a good Kilkenny team team and take them to win Wednesday night. Forwards look lethal, mix of height, pace and hurling in there

Agree we look very strong from midfield up. With the absence of Conor Dohney, Aidan Nolan and Darren Mullen our defence is probably not as strong as it could be. Be interesting to see how Mossy does at 6, played there for Kieran's a few years back but not a position he would have a lot of experience playing and will be up against a very good direct opponent in Brian Concannon.
is aidan nolan travelling aswell?them 3 are definitely a loss.tommy walsh hasn't played at 3 in a while I remember him playing minor for 3 years

Yeah it’s a really well balanced team and you’ll be hopeful they can get a good result on Wednesday. When you look at the players they are missing from the panel also it shows there is a lot of talent in the county at that age group, if you were to add Conor Doheny, Aidan Nolan, Darren Mullen, Tadhg O’Dwyer, Joey Cuddihy you’d have a serious panel to pick from, you could throw Darragh Joyce as another one missing too!! Does anyone know why O’Dwyer or Cuddihy aren’t involved is it injury or form or are they away for the summer?

Yeah, Aidan Nolan and Conor Dohney are in the States playing a bit of hurling and more importantly living a little and who could blame them!

I was talking to chap after Christmas on the panel who said joey cuddihy was cut i was bit suprised because I seen him a few times for the shamrocks and although getting subbed he was getting a point or two and doing ok.tadgh dwyer must be injured or travelling he didnt play the first round again the vat

The style of hurling DJ had with Carlow would suit that starting 15 very much on paper. Looking forward to seeing young Mullen playing, will he captain the side now?
Looking forward to it hopefully we can go one better than last year.

I assume so in Darren's absence.

Best of luck to the 21s

Very solid line up from Kilkenny, would fully expect a win.

Galway didn't look anything out of the ordinary against Offaly; albeit they won at their leisure.

Agree ,I have backed them at 11/10 in powers.and doubled them with dublin to beat wex in anothet bet.

Fingers crossed. Think it'll be a fair effort to win considering its their first game of the year

The wides in the first 15 minutes....

Balls, completely forgot this match was on, and here was I working like an eejit.

Mossy has been desperate at centre back. We've made a complete balls of this

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,455 ✭✭✭Comerman

Mossy is completely lost and wasted at CB

  • Registered Users Posts: 591 ✭✭✭mullinr2

Terrible from u21s at no. Senior players not stepping up to plate

  • Registered Users Posts: 133 ✭✭booterboy

Wiped out at midfield,no spine down the middle of the team.
Fullback line second to every ball.
    Good nighr Vienna.

What's worse is Galway are terrible as well

4 senior players on the field of play and we are desperate. How on earth are we going to beat Galway in the Leinster final

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,269 ✭✭✭JJs Left Hand

Another game where Mullen has been average at best. Seriously don't see the hype

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,269 ✭✭✭JJs Left Hand

Sin é. How is Mossy still centre back

  • Registered Users Posts: 591 ✭✭✭mullinr2

Ah lads. What type of players are we creating. No effing grit, desire, do or die attitude. What's even more a worry is that we are creating no goal scoring chances. We have lost our ability to score goals. I seriously hope our minors and teams below them are better than this. If this is what we have got its going to be our longest wait for All Ireland

Think a lot of our new up and coming team are not as good as we think. Galway are better in every position

  • Registered Users Posts: 616 ✭✭✭BoroMan32

Galway about as average as they looked against Offaly, unfortunately we're worse.

Shape of the team very poor, Walsh abysmal at full back and Keoghan lost at centre back.

Still not beyond us if we get a quick goal.

Under 21 is straight knock out isn’t it?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,269 ✭✭✭JJs Left Hand

Why would you go for a goal from there

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 603 ✭✭✭Gentleman Off The Pitch

Davy like delaying tactics from Galway players

Odd game, if Kilkenny were set up better they might have won.......

Can't see that Galway team winning any All Ireland.
