Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The beautiful game has lost its shine.

The Premier League isn't what it used to be. The bigger clubs have lost their identities as money has taken over. Homegrown local players are a thing of the past which game clubs their values and identities and was what rivalries were built on. Players likes Scholes, Keane, Terry, Gerrard, Carragher, Adams, Keown etc. Players like these that would die for the Jersey no longer exist really.

The modern players have no ties to the clubs their playing with. You could switch the crests at most of the teams and the players wouldn't be bothered. The club is just their employer. Back in the day, a player transferring to a rival was an absolute no no. Not its par for the course.

Players crying coming off injured. WTF. This should be a red card offence. No substitution allowed. The Champions League Final was an absolute farce.

Then you have what's supposed to be King of all competitions. The World Cup. Another farce with the governing body FIFA a political money grabbing disaster. Russia and Qatar as host nations. Jesus wept.

Hopefully one day the beautiful game will regain its greatness.

I agree in parts that there are players that play for the cash but what your saying is no player wants to be at their respective club and are just there for the money.. You fail to mention the other big match at the weekend which was the play off final, sure as hell looked like the players at fulham and villa were playing for their badge and supporters.

You mentioned a few players from the past, Rashford, Kane, Henderson, Ramsey, Coleman, to name a few all play their heart out for their respective clubs.

Look at the CL final, liverpool lads were in bits after, maybe your perspective of the game has changed

So modern players don't care enough.
