Trying to decide between starting Ings or Doherty this week. I suppose if I don't start Ings at home to Newcastle, I never will.

I have had GW14 earmarked for bb for a few weeks now

Yeah also noticed that GW14 seems like a great time to use it if you can keep a full playing squad together

Good news for TAA owners including myself.

I will find it very hard to resist my yearly punt on Shaq
It has always worked out for me ..........it could price me out of a few moves next week though

Had a look at that. Some great fixtures, but there are midweek league fixtures straight after (and European games the previous midweek) so there is potential for some rotation.

Excellent article here in using a TC in a SGW.

I think its like almost everyone does overvaluing the neccessity to use a BB in a dgw. I used my FH in a DGW last year and it ended up being a disaster but I will more than likely do it again as I think its a very viable strategy being able to get 11 strong DGW players and a flimsy bench.

Just posted a thread in reply basically saying what Busts said.

Great article but if the logic is correct and the best play is FH for one of the big DGWs then I'd use the BB in a SGW rather than TC all day long.

Opened my eyes to the world of strategy in this game. Thankfully there are shrewd heads out there to count on. I like the early TC option and likely it's Hazard in a few game weeks time v Huddersfield. Waiting on Salah to hit peak but generally I though Liverpool were really sharp the other night. So hope tomorrow isn't the day he clicks big time. Captain nonetheless

    Fraser, Maddison, Ricky, Arny, Mitrovic.

One needs to be benched, I'm thinking Ricky. Thoughts?

It will be interesting to see how those who sold Hazard to get Salah react this week with Hazard likely to be fit.

Depends on how Hazard does. I figured he'd be fit this week anyway. It's highly possible Hazard and Salah match this week or even if they don't Hazard needs to outscore him by 15 or so

Is Hazard nailed on to return next weekend? Have no City cover at home to Southampton and would like to get Sterling or KDB in

That’s crazy talk unless you need the money or need to use a transfer.

I’ve just recommended for someone to bring in Leicester defence.

I think the Leicester defence are overpriced. Wouldn't spend 5m on any of them when you can get Wolves/Brighton/West Ham defenders for 4.5 or less.

He is .5 ml more than a lot of other keepers who actually keep clean sheets
    Their defence has been woeful
He was a mistake and I aim to rectify it before he costs me money as well as points

Think I’d need to be sitting in 2 FT’s, or need the money, to swap out a keeper with his upcoming run.

I've a few different ways I could go yet
If I want hazard I have to start saving money
I'm not sure I do want him though.........

    West ham's run is insane
I could bring in diop for cook instead but with 3 premiums I just know I'll constantly leave his clean sheets on the bench

Take for instance this weekend if I sign him. Home to Burnley. Robertson away to arsenal.......do I the n bench Robertson for him ........

Balbuena has a reputation for being a goal threat more so than diop who is a better defender. On the question yes I would do it thus week arsenal have looked good going forward so not expecting a cleanie so even with an assist your getting 5 maybe 6 max? Burnley have been poor west ham looked rock solid last week so it seems a much easier route to 6 points even if it feels the wrong choice

It’s the reason I always have a fairly weak bench. Players that’ll come in if needed - Bennett, AWB and Kamara.

    I don’t like weekly decisions.

I own Alonso, Robertson and Mendy and wouldn’t dream of dropping any of those guys regardless of opposition.

Came across an old e-mail. This was my team leading into GW1 for the 2007/08 season:

'James, Carragher, Ingimarsson, Dunne, Lescott, Ronaldo(Captain), Arteta, Fabregas, Reo-Coker, Berbatov, Van Persie

    With the following substitutes:

Niemi, Forssell, Teale, Baines(Hamstring injury - expected back Aug)

The Gameweek 1 deadline is 11 Aug 11:30 (UK time).'

    Hehe
