Why in the name of god do Spurs have 7 defenders starting out at a value of 6.0? They aren't even known for being an overly defensive team.

In comparison, Liverpool only have 2 players at that price and none above that.

CL fixtures haven’t been released yet. Seen this posted elsewhere also, but UEFA haven’t confirmed fixtures.

Take out the Mickey Mouse game and it's not too bad. Robertson might be an issue though.

Rotation looms large. Obviously the league cup game but for the others too.

I’ll probably only have Salah after the international break. I was planning on it anyway, downgrading Robertson and upgrading Firmino to Kane.

It would certainly seems like there is a correlation there:

If I get the time later in the week I might try & do something with this. Curious to find out if it throws up anything.

That's enough graphs for one day. Don't want to spam the thread altogether like...:p

Thank you greedygoblin for your contribution to this. It has been very useful and definitively something I got value from.

    Much appreciated

One of my fav captaincy was Walcott v Newcastle a few years back around Christmas. Think it was 3 goals and 2 assists. Actually Newcastle are my fav team to captain a player against!

Tim Howard got a goal against Bolton in a DGW where I had him captain, it’s The greatest thing that’s ever happened to me

Yeah whatever about Salah its probably time to hop off their defence. Robbo and TAA will definitely be rotated while clean sheets look tough to get.

With Salah even if he's not rested much their performances as a team could well suffer in that run affecting his output. If hazard fires he could be worth a punt and Salah bought back a little cheaper. Hazard will most likely be rested for Europa.

Could be worth considering especially for this still holding the wildcard.

Heavily debating whether the Salah tax is worth paying at the moment. It looks like BPS this year are stacked heavily in favour of fullbacks so it's a year for a stellar back 4 (Mendy, Alonso, Bellerin/Nacho, Robertson/VVD to protect against rotation, Tripp, etc) and having Hazard instead at 10.5 with a two premium strikers. £13m is a lot to pay for someone who will inevitably have to share the spoils and I just think there is serious scope for a game changing differential. Ozil is also a shout to explode supplying Auba in this nice run of fixtures.

Half thinking of going Wan-Bissaka over Trent AA this weekend.

Rate Leicester pretty highly this season and don't see them coming away without a goal. Southampton are pathetic this season

I'm pretty sure Vardy record V top 6 is pretty good. Would expect him to score V pool.

Am I mad to be considering starting WanB at home to Southampton instead of a potentially half fit Arnie at home to Wolves?

I'm thinking of playing Wan-B over Maddison (home to Leicester). Think we're all a bit swayed by his price tag, it's strange having confidence that a 4m player will get us anything other than 2pts

It does affect the mindset no doubt about it
Still no way I’d start him ahead of arnie though

For me having Hennessy as a rotating keeper also plays a part
He is starting tomorrow for me and now that arnie is fit WanB will drop to the bench
I had been starting him ahead of Fraser

I was also happy to start him and keep Ricky benched to save a transfer but it’s just too long to keep Ricky so he had to go and his replacement will be starting for me

Exactly - Putting the price tag aside, he's a good pick this week anyway.

I'm going with PVA and Wan-Bissaka this weekend....you'll all be able to hear me screaming when Southampton inevitably score a meaningless injury time consolation goal.

The alternative is PVA to Alonso for a hit.

My bench is Ings, Cairney and Peltier so not much room for manoeuvre either way

Klopp on squad strength: "Today it is good but it is needs to stay good. August was always going to be different. Starting three times in a row with same line-up, that won't happen too many times this season. We didn't strengthen for August, but for all the other months."
