Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm hoping to book a 4/5 night break in Barcelona as a birthday surprise for my other half. Am I better off booking myself instead of through travel agent (have young kids so the thoughts of someone else doing thr research and booking is very appealing!)? Also any advice on good hotel to stay in and what to do there would be great. Thanks

Ryanair/Booking.com easy do it yourself . Barcelona is a beautiful city. The port area has an aquarium which makes for a nice day out. Plenty of shopping if that's your thing. Just up from the port, there is a magic fountain display with accompanying music. Well there was last time I was there. The Ramblas is an interesting area lots of street performers. Of course the uncompleted church, no chance will I try to spell it. Word of advice, watch out for pick pockets and be very wary of your bags and possessions. A friend of mine along with his family are just back after a week in Barca had a bag containing all passports/money and phone stolen.
