Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

£65 million will get you Harry Maguire.

Don’t know why any team would spend that on an even worse version of Skrtel.

What happened to Matip? No idea! Anyway VVD has just headed a nice clean one in from a corner move.

It'll be gomez as a backup for Lovren this year. Matip can't seem to get fit

Nice top body assist from Virgil right into the upper 90.

Nice to see Salah there, back in a red shirt looking happy...

I almost feel sorry for them if that’s the case. Almost.

Not really actually. At all. :pac:

Clyne is useless in the attacking third with the ball.

    Copy and paste from 2016/17?

Oof, spicy enough by Lallanna there.

Crazy to think that their starting back 5 for the new season could still be Fergie signings.

The young lad Curtis Jones looks decent

Ye but he doesn't get caught out in defence.

Please god that Van Dijk doesn't get injured. He's miles ahead of our other options.
Seeing Markovic, Origi, Sturridge, Solanke and Woodburn....thank goodness we have the front 3 we have.

See the goal, just missed why he had Tobe taken off. That lad playing number 64 has fired in a few beautiful crosses. Shame the twoin the middle look clueless

Curtis Jones looks handy, he plays like he's been playing in the first team for years, good intelligence, he played well against Blackburn as well.

Joins up with the squad next week - currently over there on holiday, Klopp insisted he had some time off...

Origi very flat footed at times, not really busting a gut but I guess it is just pre season.

I think I'd start Clyne against Man Utd and the other lump into the channels sides but play TAA for the rest.

That's Camacho who, like Jones has risen from the U18s very quickly be interesting to see if either is kept in house with the first team squad. If Camacho is Wilson might have reason to be annoyed!

Jones doing very well only 17 born in 2001.

I think he is better than Woodburn more dynamic.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,996 ✭✭✭✭billymitchell

What do people think should happen Woodburn this season? Love to see him get more game time, but can't see it happening. I think he needs to go on loan.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,037 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Marko still shows flashes of pure quality... i have this weird soft spot for him, every time he plays i'm just willing him on to finally put the whole package together!

On CB, if we needed another option with Matip being so injury prone, at the prices quoted, Vida would look a great buy. We need someone that can come in in place of VVD without Lovren imploding, and Vida is perfect for that - we already know they work well as a partnership.

Definitely like to see him go on loan, but only to the right team with the right style. Upper levels of the championship would be preferable to lower levels in the prem (like Grujic last season)... unless Rafa fancies him at Newcastle.

Actually, weirdly, Everton would be a great move with Silva there, if they went for him for a year instead of Richarlison on that left side - obviously it could absolutely never happen, but in an ideal world it'd be great, wouldn't even need to move.

Front 3 look much livelier in the 2nd half. Such a shame sturridge can't stay fit

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,928 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Keita and Fab are going to be fcuking amazing in midfield together.

3 or 4 lovely touches from him thus far.

    Solanke with a hideous miss.

    Clyne off Phillips on.

Keita really is just special. Looks like he always knows the right thing to do long before he gets the ball. So quick in everything he does.

Also, Solanke just can't catch a break! Always in the right spot, but he's putting things wide that look easier to score. Hopefully he can just push through this and start finding his groove.

Virgil will chip in with 10 league goals this year, or maybe more.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,989 ✭✭✭Potential Underachiever

    what a miss!

    Class from Daniel again!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,928 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

That was a Ronnie Rosenthal from Ojo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,037 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Oof, Ojo! How's he miss that? Good save, but keeper never should've been given a chance to get a touch.

Great play again though. nice buildup from Sturridge

Jasus Ojo off the bar and out again. Nice pass from Sturridge

  • Registered Users Posts: 448 ✭✭Seaba

Sturridge with moments of class. Looking so lively. Think I even saw him press!

    Peno bvb

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,989 ✭✭✭Potential Underachiever

Kin hell, Solanke, get rid ffs!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

    Soft peno.

Terrible ball use by Solanke put Liverpool in all sorts of bother.

    Sturridge still can't run.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Still getting dodgy penalties against us.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Pity Sturridge doesn’t play those passes in league games.

Solanke getting caught in possession way too frequently
