Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a feeling Lallana is going to play a huge part this season

Happy enough for Liverpool to knock the ball about to be honest, come through this in one piece and then play Napoli with some vigor.

Mane the pen taker this season.

    1 up

Really, really like that away kit. Might be the first I buy in five or six years.

Not watching it but had a look at lineups but the man Utd team is sub standard. Liverpool have the guts of full first team present. Pre-season stuff tells us nothing and Utd fans shouldn't be bothered either way. No bragging rights for anyone from this.

Get in! I know it's only a friendly but I feel like celebrating all goals against these lot.

Good peno...luckily Salah wasn’t killed there.

Brilliantly taken free by Utd in fairness.

Considering we have nearly 10 first teamers still not in the starting line-up after the world cup you would expect it to be a weak side.

Cracker. Caoimhin would've saved that though :)

Yeah was nice...good goal. Fairly poor united team out all the same.

He since Jose had his wee chat with the red everything has gone in United favour lol :pac:

I will enjoy reading this later over the fence about crying about the ref

Looked a pen to be honest.

Are there many Utd supporters there?

    Peno shout there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Push in the back there but he went down very easily. That's a Champions League peno, not a Premier League one.

    One minute of Miller Time.

Some really nice bits of play from Camacho that you wouldn't necessarily expect from a 18yr old

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Typical pre-season fare, both teams not all that fussed. Parker v Whyte for me now.

He is very lively, like TAA he is a full pitch length wide man who hasn't had exuberance beaten out of him yet.

Mane peno incident was probably more of a peno than the Salah one.

Yeah, and showing confidence - a few times he got the ball were it would have been easy to pass back but took a side step to beat his man and made the pass. Also, a bit quicker than TAA was at taking throws - nice throw in to Millie early on where he found a spot for Millie to run on to at the edge of the box. Nice to have him and Jones to keep an eye on...

    Swiss Toni is on.

I know its a friendly, and its a hodgepodge team, but the way the the team are playing and the young players are able to switch in seamlessly is looking really good.
That, and united are really, really dung.

Game’s sort of petering out a bit now it feels like. Notable drop in quality second half (unsurprisingly, given the changes). Still some decent play going on, but it’s not the same.

Sturridge in fine fettle this evening. Makes you wonder if he could have a renaissance season. Yes, I've decided that I'm going to let myself get carried away.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,334 ✭✭✭Ardent

Sanchez aside, this is a very ordinary Utd side

So I'm watching on a stream I got on reddit but it's mutv commentary .i thought it would be a painful listen but all they are doing is talking about liverpool non stop , very like the crowd on the manu boards thread lol.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Shaqiri is playing a fairly central role, he is best used as a No 10/AMC to my mind.

What the feck? Sturridge could have nodded that in.

United looks like Trapattoni's Ireland, even if it is a friendly.
