Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Should be sacked for that.

That’s not going to happen so hopefully will be prosecuted to the full extent of the English legal system.

Surely the club could have fined him instead of a police referral. He could get really annoyed with the club with that kind crap.

The state of that twitter post.

They did it so someone else couldn't.

€200m transfer to Madrid before the end of the month upcoming now.

Heard it all stems from some upset fan named as Rob Wylie who complained to the police that Salah was using his phone while driving after Salah refused to give his son a picture or autograph whilst leaving the stadium yesterday.

A ****ty and petty thing to do as an lfc fan to the egyptian king just because your bitter your son didnt get a picture.

I hope there is proof while naming that lad that he did it Boards wouldn't want him taking legal action against them for slander.

Well at least he didn't spit on them.

There's a few mentions of this Rob Wylie fella on Twitter that suggests he's not a decent fella. Allegedly not a pool fan at all and allegedly gets kids to badger footballers for autographs which he then sells off. Just Twitter talk so whether there's substance to it, i dunno.

Still... A bit of a nothing story really.

I’ll say one thing, it’s created some great banter over on Twatter at the very least:

Seems Mr Rob Wylie is receiving the full wrath of lfc online fans by the looks of social media

Ah give it a rest mate. Constant sniping at past and present players is rather irritating. It's not as amusing as you may think and I'm beginning to find your moral high ground tedious and seemingly petulant on your part.

I just don't get the nuances of your posts, if indeed there are any to be found.

I'll say one thing about Mo Salah, he seemed to sign the most stuff and say hello to more people than any other player around the Aviva and outside the hotel also, that clown doing that to him and his family should rightfully be called out, he literally lifted the phone purely to avoid talking to them...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,495 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Just for some context on this Rob Wylie cretin:

Very similar really bar United's a little deeper. You can clearly see they are crying out for a right winger though.

They have right wingers, they just choose to use different tactics. Sanchez played rw for udinese,Barcelona and arsenal.

Social media really is a cesspit in a lot of ways.

Points & a small fine if ticketed. Thing of nothing. He might be the positive side and refrain from using the mobile while driving from now on :)

Famous person doing what virtually every person does on a regular basis in checking his phone while moving 1mph in traffic. Why is this even a thing?

Clubs don't fine players for traffic violations and would be duty bound to report it to the police.

    Somebody was bound to anyway.

This will all blow ever and points on licence and fine at the worst.

People were horrible chasing him anyway.

Well not everybody does , as it's very dangerous and if you do it then maybe you should stop.

It's grand. I do it all the time. I don't bother watching the traffic as other drivers kindly beep to let me know the traffic has moved on should I miss it. Really takes the bordem out of traffic, would recommend

Rotten way to get caught but the rules are the rules. LFC controlling the narrative of the "story" by reporting it, no doubt after sitting down with Mo. Doubt theres any issue there at all. Surprised its even been reported but everything is news these days I guess.

Your man is charging up to 170 quid for autographed bits and pieces on his site. Scandalous

We just need Mane to drive through a red light to complete the perfect trifecta of traffic violations by our front three.

Footballer caught on phone when driving. Slow news day!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,465 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Car was stopped, he put phone down before he moved off.
''The definition of driving includes whenever the engine is switched on, even if the vehicle is stationary.''

So if it has start stop engaged he's fine ???????

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,465 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Lets hope he has Start/Stop on the car . WOuld that be a solid if loop hole defence.

I don't own a car. I see it all the time in a daily basis when cycling my bicycle. My point is that it's something that a huge number of people do so to me, it's a non story.

Screen of phone never even lights up, it's like he is pretending he is preoccupied. Phone looks off, totally black.

You can totally tell in his hand movements that he is pretending, that phone is not even switched on. He might as well be holding a rock.

Joe Gomez has the chance now to show what he’s got and to hopefully take that spot beside VVD.

Wouldn’t it be fantastic if he got 5-10 games, under his belt, without any of those niggling injuries he seems to pick up.

If he plays well and stays available then I don’t see Klopp dropping him.

Even if we don't concede, once Lovren is back fit I expect Klopp to play him.

He probably needs to clip a cyclist while doing so to generate the appropriate level of horror, dismay and turmoil.

Not sure what they were expecting Salah to do there?
Everyone is entitled to some sort of privacy no matter how famous they are, and it looks like that's what Salah wanted at the time.

He's due about 5 in quick succession. He hasn't had one in 4+ months.

Three certainties in life. Death, taxes, and Lovren to be at fault for 10+ lost points per season.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I don't think Lovren has ever cost us 10+ points in a season.

He cost us the game v Spurs away but even that was with the help of Migs , infact even his two mistakes i that game only cost us because of mistakes of others two, Migs the first, Milner not tracking Son for the second,
but can you point to any other games he cost us last season ?

I see Shaqiri is the latest player to have turned down another club to join us a Swiss paper said he turned down a chance to join a rival team for 2nd place.

Klopp really is a huge draw for players.

There are none. Save yourself the hassle and put on ignore. Likewise with Mr Reddit (great site).
