City's current team has strength in depth. The loss of DeBruyne won't be noticed.

If anyone has a hope of catching City, it'll be by a point or 2. It won't take much to swing it, or they'll walk the league.

Of course it will. Why do they have him in the team then?

All teams suffer when their best players are missing.

How 2018 could of been different if Kiev had shoulder pills.

He wasn’t brought cause he’s been absolute **** for Germany, they brought Brandt instead I think who can also cover across the front three.

I heard it was because he snubbed the confederations cup last year. He put off some surgury on his nose, I think, till the start of the confed cup. He also didn't give 100% in the qualifiers.

    Doping...get a grip.

The lad was dropped by Low for 2 reasons:
He was seen as being a personality that Low didnt want in the camp. The lad knows what he wants and isnt the easiest person/teenager to deal with when he aint a happy camper....senn as a player that needs to mature and star at the next tournament.

The more likely and believable reason is:

He pulled out of the Confed Cup to have a nose operation at short notice. It was later discovered within the DFB that the OP wasnt needed right away but his club pressed for it to be done asap and forced him to refuse the call up on medical grounds. Low seen it as.....if you are willing to miss the Confed you can also miss the World Cup....kinda putting fear into the young lad not to drop out in future unless its a serious injury.

It was a dreadful decision not to bring Sane, he's a fantastic, dynamic player and Germany were toothless at World Cup.

As to De Bruyne, can't say I'm happy to see him injured. Good player also and seems like a nice chap. We can beat City with all their talent.

It’s was indeed, as if he hit some form he could have made the difference, the problem is that he has very rarely showed that type of form for Germany.

Conspiracy theorists in full swing :)

If you listened to Lowe’s press conference on the reasons behind it he said he was unlucky not to be in the 23 & that he’ll be straight back in the squad in September for the nations league. Wasn’t because he was ‘****’ or ‘doping’ was just because he fancied someone else & in hindsight perhaps he got it all wrong. These things happen.

I don't wish injury on players but I hope it is 4 months.

2 months is a doddle to them.

Next 6 games are 4 home & 2 away to the last 6 promoted teams.

We have 4 aways in the same period - Palace, Leicester, Cheslea, Spurs.

City could have maximum points before we play each other. And us - well who knows.

That is wishing injury on a player

I would want to compete with City with all their best players against ours, otherwise injuries like this one can be used as an excuse

What an absolute moron. This is just the cherry on top of his various other idiocies. Shame, as he really had a lot of natural talent, but none of the intelligence or mentality to go with it. Having to play with a police ankle tag against Spurs, and of course abandoning his car for half a year cause he forgot about it.

One of those times you really wished Hicks & Gillette backed Rafa, stumped up the extra couple of million, and got his first choice target that season instead - Dani Alves.

    Liverpool's B team played Liverpool's C team today

Karius, Clyne, Phillips, Matip, Moreno, Fabinho, Henderson, Lallana, Shaqiri, Sturridge, Solanke

Mignolet, Whelan (then Virtue), Masterson, Johnston, Lewis, Chirivella, Christie-Davis, Grujic, Markovic, Jones, Origi

    Ended 5-0 to the B-side.

With our extra bit of depth now, I'd really love us to go out and win the League Cup. Could rest some of the main men, and still put out a very very strong team. Get that cup win off Klopp's back with a third of the season still to play afterwards.

Pep's pills will have him back in no time.

Ah jesus chief that's for fans of other teams to be crying about. Small time accusing Pep of such things.

DeBruyne will be a big miss for them, while yes they have the cover to fill his role, the other players don't have the same quality as him.
Usually the player they go to make things happen, same as hazard and Chelsea.

I heard a strong rumour Spurs stadium will not open this year,
A guy who works in Mace (the company that's doing the sparking ) has said apparently only 35 of the 300 fire alarm loops work , So 20 thousand seats have to come up to do rewireing
They've been asked to price 50 more sparks, for 3-4 months work, offering huge money for over time,
Makes sense now why no one was bought cause they will lose loads of money and also need to rent out Wembley or somewhere else to play there games .

Tottenham have activated the clause to use Wembley stadium for the remainder of the season.

The decision to upgrade Anfield in stages (assuming Anfield Road gets the go ahead at some point) looks more wise by the day.

They have a fairly handy schedule of games coming up until they play Liverpool in October. Even without KDB I'd be surprised if they don't win all those games. Might draw one of them maybe.

Don't know about starting but it's supposed to be done 2021 with an extra 7000 capacity.

I saw somewhere that the Emirates took 31 months to build or sumfink, but Spurs are trying to do theirs in 18 months.

I'm guessing trying to rush completion is part of the reason for making a balls of it.

Remember the huge farce with Wembley with how late that was?

I think the builders lost money due to delays. Heard rumours that they had to dig up concrete they had poured to put in services. Sounds vaguely similar to whats happening with Spurs.

Nothing is happening until the new training ground is built in 2019 anyway. The outline planning consent for the Anfield Road End expires in August 2019 but they could always extend that.

Even at the earliest timeline given current events the stand wouldn't be ready until 2021 for start of 2021-22 season.

I never said it did. I made a point that Klopp does not have a great record in finals, something didi referred to.

To be fair he and his teams have been massive underdogs in each final.
Man City far better at the time, Sevilla going for 3 in a row, Madrid going for 3 in a row.

Klopp needs to win something this season, but I wouldn't shoot him over those 3 finals.

its not just us he has a bad record in finals for. Hes won 1 of 7 major finals hes been in.

Just for everybodys clarity -I'm not slating Klopp. I'm hoping his record improves soon...especially for us.

I kind of feel a bit sorry for him to be honest. He's never complained, and has taken every loan move they've sent him on. Did really well at Hull I thought, but Liverpool wanted too much money so he couldn't move away permanently. It doesn't seem to be a case of him sitting on his contract, pool just don't seem willing to take a cut price deal to let him go.
