To be honest i think of firmino more as a playmaker striker. He creates space and chances for others as well as closing players down and winning the ball back. Goals are weirdly not his main function for us.

The best part about Bobby is that he isn’t the striker where you’re waiting for him to break a goal drought. He provides so much when he isn’t scoring and never tries too hard to do so, the goals always come eventually for him. He’s an absolute joy to have in the team and he could go 10 games without a goal and I wouldn’t mind as long as he’s pressing and creating.

Hopefully big changes in game once we are 4-0 up after 30 mins.

No changes is a good sign.

Wolves have the nicest club crest in the PL, by a distance.

While on that topic, I'd go Watford 2nd and West Ham 3rd.

    Is Fabinho injured or what?
He's not going to adapt to our style or English football in a training ground.

I disagree. It was the same with Chamberlain who had to bed in and adapt to Klopp’s style – didn’t see him for two months really.

At the same time, I can see why you wouldn't want to change things and why a holding midfielder isn't the first option for a subs bench.

Klopp said last night he is learning the new way of play/systems like Robertson and Ox last season.

I went the cinema to see Alpha last night, I think it was a good omen.

Gomez preferred over Matip as well, great to see him getting a chance at CB, what he'll learn playing alongside VVD you almost can't teach.

Think it's baffling that he hasn't even appeared on the bench after a full pre season. Robertson was at least making the bench last season as was Chamberlain. Keita, Alisson & Shakiri all had to learn our style too. Very off for me anyway.

We're the only team in the English leagues (Pro leagues) not to have conceded yet. Only 2 games in mind, but still.

Again, I think a holding midfielders chances from the bench are limited in any case (bar injury of course) so not sure there's much benefit there.

Who gets dropped from the bench then Henderson? as he is the only other player on the bench that plays that role.

Put Fab on the bench and Henderson doesn't make the squad that creates more questions.

Our bench is a lot stronger this season than last.

We have Milner, Hendo, Gini who can all play/have played that role, we can't pack the bench with DM either, chances are we need players on the bench who can come on and break down a team and get us goals, preference should be given to them.

The four lads on the soccer Saturday panel all went for a score of 2-2 in the Everton game.

    They'll be creaming themselves.

It’s great to hear the ‘ooohhh’ from the crowd every time the ball goes near Salah. Haven’t had a player where the crowd expect something magical from a player every time since Suarez.

Ryan is such a great shot stopper, no idea how he’s still playing for Brighton. And he moved there from Valencia!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,398 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

    That’s a great save.

Crikey, thought that was going to be a red for Alisson for a sec.

That was a penalty at a second glance.

Keiita just looks impossible for defences to handle.

Stephens looks fecked already. Gone for water twice already in 13 mins.

Solid effort from Trent, hope he gets to take every free for us when he’s on the pitch.

Mane having one of those botched final ball days so far. Likely means he bags a double in the 2nd half.

Mane to bang one in from 30 yards as he can't pass two yards at the moment.

That'll force them to come out to play.

    Did Klopp do a ****?
