I need to plant a long narrow border. It's about 2 feet wide. Ideally a mix of two or three plants to provide a long flowering time & winter foliage. Maximum height 2 feet. Any ideas ?

Lavender, sage, penstemon, rosemary, thyme, sarcococca, ajuga and red valerian might be options to consider. The rosemary and some of the others may need to be trimmed to keep within the 2ft height target but this should not be a problem for their appearance.

If it was May it might be a hard border:)
