Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Could you expand on that? BT or Virgin and who's commentating?
Sorry; I should have made it clear. It's the BT Sport coverage. Jenas (ex Spurs) and Hoddle (ex Spurs). And I didn't say commentating, I said co-commentating.

PSV's goal against Inter was a cracker as well.

A lot of dirty fouling by Spurs now - hope they get hammered

    Ridiculous by Lloris.
Messi class though. When he loses his pace to trouble defenders, he’s got a place in mid waiting for him. What a player.

the ageless ball inside the full back to Alba. He really should trademark it.

Every time Barca go forward, they look like they can score. Spurs need HT to come with no more goals conceded.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Not watching the game, but Spurs have looked stale all season long. No competition for places can lead to complacency and they really needed to strengthen in the summer.

Some night of goals. Brugge just scored a ridiculous one.

3 of their best 5 players are injured. No eriksen, dembele, verts, Its mad how they didnt strengthen.

    Brainless from Lamela.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭irishguitarlad

Jenas and hoddle are tough to listen to, hopefully barca can score a few more.

    Lamelas a consistently dirty player

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Poor half from Kane. Hard to see a way back for Spurs.

Monaco doing better than I expected away to Dortmund, but Benaglio has gone off injured. Subasic on for his first game back since the World Cup.

Hoddle is a dreadful pundit to listen to. Yes; he may well know what he's talking about. But that deadpan, monotone voice really does grate. Plus, it could send you to sleep standing up. Always baffles me how he gets the gig on TV.

Wanyama looks like an overgrown child when he tries to tackle Messi. Two different species

He wasn't even subtle about it. A clear forearm cuff across the back of your man's head/neck.

Did you sign up before 9pm yesterday? You should have had access since this morning if you did.

Signed up at midday yesterday and am still getting 'you need to have a subscription to watch this.' on the app. Frustrating as I only signed up now to watch todays football. Would have happily waited a month otherwise with the international break!

Love watching that Rakatic strike. Took the volley on when it was still very high up. Caught it so clean

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,695 ✭✭✭✭osarusan

Jaysus Spurs are woeful. Just giving the ball away all the time, then giving Barca way too much freedom with it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,816 ✭✭✭Tigerandahalf

Liverpool have struggled up front. Both teams giving the ball away a lot. Alexander Arnold at FB gives the ball away far too much. Napoli seem to have the pace to match Liverpool.

Off the post from Messi. Nearly another quick Barca goal.

Off the post from Messi. Nearly another quick Barca goal.

    And again! Same post.

And now Kane scores! From almost 3-0 to 2-1.

Dortmund are leading against Monaco. Bruun Larsen scores after Favre put him on at Half-Time. Sancho assist.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

    MESSIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

Lovely goal. Post doesn't deny him this time. 3-1.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

And he finally gets his goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

He finally scores. Two great dummies in the box there.

Agreed. The Spurs defence never stood a chance.

    Lamela scores! 3-2. Big deflection.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Oh my goodness. Alderweireld just saved Lloris's bacon.

Dortmund have a pen. Reus fouled by Glik.

And Alcacer smacks it against the crossbar! Still 1-0 Dortmund.

He's made amends now. Rounds Subasic and scores after a Reus assist. 2-0.

    MESSIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

    4-2. Game over.

Reus makes it 3-0 Dortmund. And it's all over. Comprehensive victory for the home side. Favre going strong.

Fully deserved win for Napoli. Made Liverpool look pretty ordinary out there.
