Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It ends 3-3 between Hoffenheim and Lyon. Nagelsmann not happy with the ref at the final whistle.

Worth checking out the highlights of this one. Lyon led 1-0, then Hoffenheim turned it around to lead 2-1, then Lyon turned it around again to lead 3-2, only for Joelinton to get an equaliser with the last kick of the game.

Juventus would really have kicked themselves had Utd got anything out of that, yet some shocking lack of accuracy and application in the second half. Ronaldo looked a bit gassed but he probably has an easier time of it in Serie A at 33/34

Ronaldo played well i thought. Never seen him take the right option so often. Normally he indulges himself a bit in games. Was selfless in his running too and should have been picked out more than once for a goal chance.

He didn't score so he didn't play well. Thats the depth of the analysis you get these days unfortunately.

Apart from when he played there for Madrid in 2013 and was instrumental in their win.

    Scarleh for ya.

The Three Finger Salute is used by District 12 residents when they have to say thanks or just to show that the person is loved and respected by them. It's a gesture of admiration, gratitude and saying goodbye to someone you love.

The sign is made by pressing your three middle fingers of your left hand to your lips and then hold them out to the person, or people, that you want to show respect to. In the books, the left hand is used, but in the first film it is the right hand, and the fingers are simply held up by their side. Later on in the second film, the left hand is used like in the book.

And when he scores, he is a bad player because he only scores goals

Pathetic interview from Mourinho. Essentially shrugging his shoulders and saying we can't expect to compete with Juventus. Was like the interview Noel King gave to RTE after getting whooped away to Germany, but far worse considering United have the resources to at least be competitive.

He's morphing United into a Europa League outfit.

Teams are in for the early kick-offs:
Club Brugge XI: Letica; Denswil, Mechele, Poulain; Bonaventure, Kaveh, Vanaken, Vormer, Vlietinck; Nakamba, Wesley.

Monaco XI: Badiashile; Sidibe, Glik, Jemerson, Raggi; Golovin, Tielemans, Ait-Bennasser, Chadli; Jovetic, Sylla.
PSV Eindhoven XI: Zoet; Dumfries, Schwaab, Viergever, Angelino; Rosario, Pereiro, Hendrix; Lozano, De Jong, Malen.

Tottenham XI: Lloris; Trippier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Davies; Dier, Dembele; Eriksen, Lucas, Son; Kane.

Must-win games for all of these sides as they search for their first points in the competition.

City will be happy with that line up - they breeze to an easy win away and have an extra day to recover.

Not a great advertisement for the 6 o'clock kickoffs.

More woes for Henry at Monaco. He lost Falcao to injury after 37 minutes in his first game against Strasbourg on Saturday, and now he's lost Jovetic after 8 minutes tonight. 18 year old Sofiane Diop coming on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

Dembele seems eager to get first use of the showers tonight!

    LOZANOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Jammy or what! Poor from Alderweireld.

Monaco 1-0 up via a nice finish from Sylla. Golovin with the assist.

Anyone know if Kane actually was offside there?

Looks like Spurs were harshly denied. Kane deemed to be interfering with play it would seem. Mick McCarthy diplomatic as ever:

"The assistant's an idiot if that's what he thought."

    :pac:

In an offside position alright, but not interfering. Very harsh call

Moura equalises after a nice move from Spurs. 1-1.

Brugge have also equalised against Monaco, Wesley beating Glik in the air with a header.

Uodate: Both games 1-1 at the break. Spurs lucky not to concede a moment ago as Pereiro's effort hits the bar.

Monaco and Sylla almost got a second as he rounded the keeper but put his shot wide. Kind of effort Henry made a career our of converting.

Good action. Both games nicely poised.

Kane scores with a header to make it 2-1. Eriksen involved once again.

    Cracking goal as well.

Eriksen has been a joy to watch. I've no doubt if he had played in the game in Dublin recently he would have torn us apart again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,019 ✭✭✭davycc

Beautiful inch perfect cut back on a plate for Moura.
If that was braindead walker he just be happy to lash the ball off the nearest defender !

    Coys

    Lloris red card!

What a final ten minutes this will be.

Is that McCarthy that said "Careless borderline negligent"? Aren't they the same thing?
Going to be difficult for Spurs if their missing Lloris for a couple of games.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

    Lloris is an absolute clown.

He has to be one of the most clueless Gks in the world at the elite level.

Makes a serious amount of beyond stupid decisions rushing out.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

They should see this out though.

    Er nope

They'd be in trouble if PSV weren't hopeless.
I shouldn't have opened my mouth. That defending

    De Jong equalises! 2-2.

That was a good finish from De Jong.

Psv are pretty poor though. Spurs could still win this.

Spurs in real danger of being knocked out of CL now.

EL schedule could be theirs too after Christmas

Virgin Media Sport. It may just be someone who sounds like him, sounds a bit hoarse

Looks like it could be a London affair in the Europa League soon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Brugge's Openda just missed a sitter to win it in the last seconds.

Full-Time and it ends 1-1. Doesn't really help either side.

That's if they manage to qualify for EL. Isn't it only the Top 6 3rd place teams or something?

I don't understand the hype that surrounds him at all. There's a mistake waiting to happen in nearly every game he plays.

Ends 2-2 in Eindhoven. Inter will be delighted with that. Takes a lot of pressure off.

There's no hype anymore. He was one of the worlds best, but is far from that now.

These appear to be the four most keenly anticipated evening games. Which one/ones are you going to watch?
Borussia Dortmund XI: Burki; Piszczek, Zagadou, Diallo, Achraf; Delaney, Witsel; Gotze, Reus, Pulisic; Larsen.

Atletico Madrid XI: Oblak; Juanfran, Godin, Lucas Hernandez, Filipe; Koke, Saul, Thomas, Lemar; Griezmann, Diego Costa.
Barcelona XI: Ter Stegen; Sergi Roberto, Pique, Lenglet, Jordi Alba; Rakitic, Busquets, Arthur; Coutinho, Luis Suarez, Rafinha.

Inter XI: Handanovic; D'Ambrosio, Skriniar, Miranda, Asamoah; Brozovic, Vecino; Candreva, Borja Valero, Perisic; Icardi.
Liverpool XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Shaqiri; Salah, Firmino, Sadio Mane.

Red Star XI: Borjan; Stojkovic, Degenek, Babic, Gobeljic; Ebecilio, Jovicic, Ben, Krsticic, Srnic; Boakye.
PSG XI: Areola; Meunier, Kimpembe, Marquinhos, Bernat; Verratti, Rabiot; Mbappe, Neymar, Di Maria; Cavani.

Napoli XI: Ospina; Maksimovic, Albiol, Koulibaly, Mario Rui; Allan, Fabian Ruiz, Hamsik, Callejon; Mertens, Insigne.

I'm going to watch PSG vs Napoli and Dortmund vs Atletico.
