5-1 Barca. Cruel on Lyon but Messi involved again, setting up Dembele with a perfect ball who finishes it.

    so 8 sides left...

In order of fancy I'd go

    1. Man City
    2. Barcelona
    3. Juventus
    4. Liverpool
    5. Man Utd
    6. Spurs
    7. Porto
    8. Ajax

can't wait to see what the draw is for the next round now!

You wouldn't want to face Messi or Ronaldo in this business end of the season. Both look in formidable form and are showing we're all still very much in their era. Would be epic if Juve draw Barca.

    1. Man City
    2. Barcelona
    3. Juventus
    4. Liverpool
    5. Man Utd
    6. Spurs
    7. Porto
    8. Ajax

I'd have Ajax over Porto who the other 7 are praying for.
Nailed on City will draw Liverpool; it's just how things fall.

Juve, Barca or Man City drawing each other in the next round would really open it up for the other sides.

Utd for me in the next round, weakest side left in tournament by a long way.

My prediction for the fixed draw.

    Liverpool vs Spurs

    Man U vs Man City

    Barca vs Porto

    Juve vs Ajax.

Spurs aren't at their peak at the moment, I reckon out of the 4 English sides Tottenham would be the preferred draw l.

I didn't see their win last round so tbf I may be underrating them but just went with what I honestly believe from the games I have seen this season. .

Uefa are really taking the piss with the ticket prices and allocation methods.

UEFA have announced the prices of tickets for the 2019 Champions League final at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid, with the first batch going on sale tomorrow.

While the two teams competing for Europe’s most prestigious honour are still to be decided, with the draw for the quarter-finals taking place on Friday, the first 4,000 tickets are due to go on general sale at 13:00 GMT on Thursday 14 March.

Prices range from €70 for a category 4 ticket to €600 for a category one ticket, while there are also 400 tickets available in youth packages - with a €140 price for one adult and one child’s ticket, which will be in the category 2 bracket.

The Wanda Metropolitano, Atletico Madrid’s home, has a capacity of 63,500 but just over half (38,000) are available for fans to buy, with 4,000 on general sale and a further 17,000 for each team that makes the final.

    Ticket prices

    Category 1 - €600

    Category 2 - €450

    Category 3 - €160

    Category 4 - €70

Youth package: €140 (two Category 2 tickets – one adult and one child under 14 – sold at discounted Category 4 rate).

Disabled ticket - €70 (ticket priced at Category 4 rate and one companion ticket provided for free).

United to get Spurs and Liverpool against Juve.

Man City are still very average. Their defence is too poor and they lack big characters.

Ajax have to be a good outside bet. They beat Real well in their own backyard.

Utd are going nowhere and Liverpool look like they will concede too easily.

The best defence normally wins out.

Juventus with Ajax as dark horses for me.

Surely the ticket sale is a lottery?

    Fantastic result for Liverpool !!!

Mané is a joy to behold sometimes. His first was exquisit and Salah played in a lively ball for his second.

Beat Bayern Munich away from home 3-1......and Liverpool did not play well for most of the game, that will do nicely.

United tend to get tough draws and are due Ronaldo wrecking dreams again. City always get easy draws and Liverpool tend to as well. By that reasoning I'm expecting:

    Man Utd vs Juventus
    Porto vs Man City
    Ajax vs Liverpool
    Tottenham vs Barcelona

The draw for the semis is taking place after the quarter-final draw so we'll know the path to the final as well.

Prem sides absolutely, well, mullered their Bundesliga opponents, 17-3 on aggregate.
Time to write off the Germans I think...

I don't think Uefa will want any chance of all English semis happening. There's an all English QF coming up, the chances of it have to be higher than it not happening at least once.

Disaster of a round for German teams. 4 English teams through is very impressive, considering only City got an 'easy' draw.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

    It's wide open

Spurs, Porto and Ajax would be perceived as the best draw to get.

Liverpool are brilliant at knockout football.

Neuer Ribery That forward who keeps diving and I can't spell his name. All finished.

And was James ever any good ?

Last night it was the Ronaldo show, tonight it's the Messi show.
    Two phenoms.

    Amazing stuff.

2 goals and 2 assists from Messi tonight. Judging by the highlights he could have had more.

Nah they're still riding on the wave of positivity and optimism so I'd rather steer clear of them.

Don't want City or United and would prefer to avoid them for as long as possible. But I know that's unlikely. Could care less about drawing any other team.

Can't understand why Ajax are being listed as an easy option.
Did anyone watch their 2 legs v Madrid?

Bollox man, Anfield on an European night against utd, would be ****en rocking. I'm sure the same for old Trafford. Have you been to a proper European night at Anfield.

  • Any home game for Ajax or Juve will have twice the atmosphere

Agree, most of the English clubs would pale in comparison

City will have folks with cameras snapping and waving at cameras even when a goal is scored.

Old Trafford at times can be so quite but at least they are trying to challenge that with the signing section. They are moving it to the Stretford End next season which should help. If we could fill the stand with Utd away fans it would be a cauldron.

The atmosphere in Anfield at the moment consists of YNWA blasting out for about 5 minutes then a pin drop for 90.

Spurs not even in there own stadium I'd imagine for the Quarter Finals.

An early premier league game yes, but have you been to an European night at Anfield. I have been to Italian games, they suffer just as much for league games.

Particularly Juve fans have been quite pissy the last few weeks. The ultra complaining about the Agnelli's & bizarrely other Juve fans.
Atmosphere at their games is meh a lot as despite having a small enough stadium it ain't exactly a hot ticket.
